I know that financial market will be closed on Tuesday. I hear Banks are closed as well, as they usually observe all holidays federal government observes. You should probably call before you head out. They really didn't have enough time to prepare for this....

I believe it is only Federal offices. Unless your bank is federally run, which most are not, then banks will carry on as usual. The only other business I have heard of being closed is Wall Street. Of course, mail carriers are also federal employees, so I imagine that they will also have the day off.

Well my sister works at a bank here in Wisconsin, and she has to work, so I'm assuming that other banks will be open too. Hope I helped!
