An indictment means that a grand jury feels there is enough evidence for the D.A. to attempt to prosecute this crime. It doesn't mean the person is guilty, just there is enough there to make a case of guilt. Like it was said, it's round one. There will still be a trial.

No. You can be charged with a many crimes without an indictment.
This is issued when a grand jury has heard the prosecution's evidence in a federal criminal case, and they feel it is sufficient to continue with the charges against you.

pleading no contest is announcing that the state could convict you on the information they have. with a view to circumvent an ordeal, you plead no contest, get your sentence, and flow on Pleading the 5th is announcing you will no longer answer any questions for the reason which you would be admitting guilt in case you probably did answer the fact.
