Which service has more Hornet pilot positions?And which treats their pilots better?

They are both scheduled to replace the F/A 18 superhornet with the F 35 lightning in 2011 though the phasing out will take a while. I would go with the navy though.

That would depend on your qualifications and education. If you are straight out of HS the chances are zero on both. Go to college get a four year degree in engineering with ROTC as a part of your education, pretty good at either. Hey son listen up, flying any modern aircraft isn't like being a street racer.
