I am a military spouse and I have also noticed that most people in America do not have to have their lives affected by the war so they seem to forget about all of the sacrifices made. But here is a story of regular citizens supporting soldiers to help brighten your day some. A few weeks ago a family in our battalion had a house fire and lost all of the childrens' toys and clothes. The husband was deployed in Iraq and the family was left without much until the insurance money came in. So I called my family and they put a flyer in their veterinary clinic within a week we had boxes and boxes of new clothes and toys for the children and a money order to help the family get some of the things they need. So there are some people out there who still care!

We are not losing the support as we did in Vietnam but we will have a hard road to leave at all. The problem and very stupid mistake was going in the first place but now we need to stay, and try to train a army that is mostly made up of men that believe that USA is evil. We can not win but we will be able to pull out with some respect to ourselves. We just need to maintain the course until the army of crazy Islamic men can stand up for themselves. Then we can fight them on our home ground when they get strong enough to attack us in about 20 years.

The war was lost very close to the beginning when we decided on a small force rather then to follow the Powell doctrine- Go in there with overwhelming force if you have to go. We made so many mistakes it's not even funny. The Bush Administration made the Early decisions that make or break the war, and they did not choose to win.

You know, if the media is as powerful as you claim, why hasn't the government become better at using it to it's own advantage?
Or, are the American people really such easily swayed sheep that they can't see through media lies, as you obviously have?
Or are you just looking for a scapegoat?

No. we will lose it because of political correctness. Every time we kill an enemy soldier, the person who killed him goes on trial or is court marshalled.
