The latest "scandal" is that some media claim that Israel will be establishing a new settlement.

However, Wednesday's New York Times states specifically that the settlement is not new at all, but a revival of a settlement approved in 1981, which had become a military training site by the mid-1990s.

This is not an idle question. I think it's something that we should all be thinking about. It's not too early for 2008....

Like the ever changing justification for the Iraq war, or the warrantless wiretaps? Or the bidless contract for Halliburton? Are these things worthy of looking into more closely? Impeachment is an investigation, not a conviction...if the administration justifies warrantless searches as 'if you don't have anything to hide, you don't have anything to worry about', could we justify an investigation the same way?

On a related note... how do we get the "impeach Bush" trolls off the roof?

At the end of World War 2, with the advent of atomic weapons, the ability to produce Darwinian extinction came into man's power. The political power structure then formulated the concept of Limited Conflict, in which they could play war, only in a limited area. Very soon after the end of World War 2, came the advent of television, and broadcasts of football games, a game of terrirorial conquest played within boundaries using regulated violence, force, manuever, and deception to establish dominance. When ball leaves field of play, play stops. During the Korean War, when the Chinese retreated back into China, Gen. MacArthur followed them into China, and was fired -- the Chinese had left the field of play and play was supposed to stop!

OK - I'm Welsh

But I'm not convinced about Welsh independence from the UK.

How would it benefit me - an ordinary working (hard up) Welsh girl?

I'm not a Welsh speaker so any improvement on Welsh Language Facilities wouldn't tempt me.

My BF is English and our son is half English so any "chuck all the non-Welsh out of Wales" policies certainly wouldn't appeal to me.

I'm not really that patriotic about Wales. Its my home and I love it for that reason but I'm not a flag waver, nor do I have a chip on my shoulder against the English.

So how would Welsh Independence make my life better? Would it mean more jobs? Better wages? More housing? Better standard of living?

Come on you proponents of Welsh Independence - convince me. But taking into account those things I've said, please. Going on about how much you hate the English ain't gonna do it!

As long as a person is not interfering in the rights of others, they should be free to do what they want.

When my house got broken into we were in shock. As we were about to call the police, we were lucky enough to spot a police car parked on the side of the curb. So we parked on the curb near the officer and asked him for help. When we stepped out of car we noticed something quite bizzare. The drivers side door was wide open and the officer was playing Tetris on his cell phone while eating donuts.

Since sexual Preditors can't live around school and schools are every where. I feel that the goverment should house them over there. Since they are "bored" let them help build a world of their own. And if they get caught coming back over here, shoot to kill or something like that. It should lower the rate of your children getting raped and killed. What do you all think?

My husband is in the national guard and he returned from a deployment a year ago. With them wanting to increase the amount of troops I was kinda wondering if there were any clues to watch for to see if he would be deployed agian? I like to be prepared for anything that might happen but like my husband always says plan for the unexpected.
