I think we should have a day of mourning. He was a good, ethical president (even though he did pardon Nixon).

Sadly, no. This was done in honor of President Regan, but Ford was not quite the friend of the rich that Regan was, so its doubtful. I was pleased, however, with President Bush's decision to have all Federal facility flags at half mast for 30 days.

On the other hand, a national Day or mourning could be declared, but that's usually only done for sitting presidents.
