The latest "scandal" is that some media claim that Israel will be establishing a new settlement.

However, Wednesday's New York Times states specifically that the settlement is not new at all, but a revival of a settlement approved in 1981, which had become a military training site by the mid-1990s.

Angelhunt sees no problem in the media inventing and doctoring stories that make Israel look like a criminal state.

The truth is that no other country in the world would be turning its cheek the way that Israel does in the face of terrorist attack day after day when a ceasefire is in effect.

The struggle is with radical Islamist terror. First they go after the Saturday people, and only then after the Sunday people.

Brian L repeats myths that are patently false.

There is no "stealing" of land here; all Israeli villages are built on land that has been purchased or is State land.

Brian, if you stick to the facts, then maybe the media will also.

Whatever else one wishes to say about the West Bank or Gaza, the word "occupation" is a tendentious, and cruel, misnomer. What it seeks to imply, what it seeks to implant in the minds of men, is clear: Israel has no rights here. This is nonsense. This is the very reverse of the truth. Read the Mandate, and the Preamble to the Mandate, for Palestine. Then read the records of the Mandates Commission -- and especially how they reacted when the British unilaterally announced that the terms of the mandate would not be applied to Eastern Palestine -- that is, the consolation prize given to Abdullah of the Emirate of Transjordan.

The anti-Israeli media (especially the guardian) will stop at nothing to attempt to foment more death and destruction in the middle east. If it bleeds, it leads. They need a lot of pain and suffering so people will watch their crap programming and other people can sell their crap to us.

Their only god is the almighty dollar.

"Does the media have no shame?" Your question assumes the media's purpose is to objectively tell us what's important in the news. I've given up that belief. The media's purpose is to get more people to pay attention to them. That's why I haven't watched TV news in like 20 years.

Ignore the stupider news stories, and seek multiple news sources. That's how you'll get the truth.

Everybody's biased, some more than others. Some media sources are anti-Israel and anti-West, some are not.

I don't blame the media for being trivial, and I don't blame lead weights for being heavy.

Nice try no matter how you slice it the base/settlement is still deep in Palestinian land. So yes the media is quite right in this case that Israel is stealing land again. If Israel can't get land by not recognizing the owners deed then they just steal it out right using the theory that might makes right. Then you people have the audacity to wonder why your image in the worlds view has gone to hell. Now that chutzpah!!!

it somewhat is by way of the fact the Media is oftentimes owned by using Ted Turner who's a rabid militant Atheist and dedicate Democrat who needs not something better than to interrupt all Christianity and Religiuon contained in united statesa. and the international so he directs His information company to attack all people who opposes his ideology

While the settlement may have been "approved" in the past, it isn't one now. As you said, it's been used as a training site. Therefore, the settlement that would be built there would be "new." "New" buildings, "new" housing, "new" occupants, etc.. This really isn't rocket science. I'm sure you have better things to do with your time than to dedicate it to looking for spiders in the corners of a round room.

I'm afraid I agree with Eric M - somewhere along the way the media stopped reporting real news or caring about the truth.

I really don't listen to much news except the local - they are less likely to bother me with what Brad Pitt is wearing - even if it's nothing at all, this isn't NEWS.

The media is generally so corrupted that I cannot watch tv news--it makes me too sick. You can bet that any news story featuring Israel will portray it in a negative light.
People are so easy brainwashed. Perhaps no better example of that is Al-Jazeera and its adherents... there's no distortion or bias THERE! Wink-wink...

The media has never had any shame. They are actually getting worse by the day. They have shown time and time again that ethics and truth are certainly not the agenda of the day.

Anyone who goes against Israel will surely fail. For it is written in the Bible. Was this not the promised land of God's people? Was this not the land that He had told them to conquer?

"If God be for us, who can be against us?"
