Okay, I have a friend who is running a local business of making websites for local businesses. He's a damn good at what he does and I would like to help him as well. However, I have a few questions of my own regarding what he does. Is using pictures and graphics, from say google images, a copyright infringment? How does one know if a picture is copyright protected or not? Is there a place where you can find graphics and images that are in the free domain i.e. without copyrights? What are some tips to avoid legal trouble in the future? Are using tabs/button designs from other websites copyright infringment as well? These businesses are using it for advertising so making such a website is for profit...

He's a bad speaker. Is that all?
Bad policy won't get you booted, just unpopular.
If you think he lied about the war, then why are you supporting your Congress who overwhelmingly voted for the war. Maybe you should be mad at them instead for not fully reading the legislation. Also remember that there are tapes of Dems saying that Saddam has WMD's.
If he needs to be impeached, then why aren't there any charges being brought?
And dont bring up Clinton either. Remember, he was on trial for impeachment for lying to the Grand Jury investigation, not for his involvement with Ms. Lewinsky.

I sued: 1) my former employer, 2) the state of new york and 3) individuals who were acting on behalf of the state. My employer said I had raised some Constitutional issues. My employer made a "notice of removal" and had the case moved from New York State Court to Federal Court (US District Court). I have multiple causes of action including a Section 1983 action, breach of contract, tortious interference and I am asking for specific performance of my contract. The 11th ammedment bars suits brought against the state or state actors in Federal Court, unless the state gives its consent. Therefore, my question is this, if one of the defendents (not the state defendents) makes a "notice of removal" into federal court, then have the state defendents also de facto agreed to having the case heard in federal court?

All my experiences with cannabis and alcohal have led me to believe that alcohol is worse. You can actually control yourself when you are high, when drunk you cannot. Should the U.S. legalize the sale and possession of marijuana for persons 18 and older?

He loans money to people who OWN a house or piece of land in MEXICO who are financially cash strapped. He was explaining to me that he loans them the money up to 35% interest and usually loans them more than he believes they could pay back with a secure lien on the land title, but less than the property is worth (So he can extract his profit) The home/land owners are uaully unable to repay the debt and he forecloses and takes the house, resells it on the market and makes a tidy profit. There is some remodeling involved because most of the homes are in terrible condition.. He calls it "Flip that house" He has shown me the books he keeps and he is making over $100K ONLY on this business alone!! He wants me to help remodel and prepare the home and deal with the locals there since I speak spanish fluently. He has also come up with another idea for loaning money on Credit Cards (CC) the interest would be high as well on them..Any input on this? Is it a good way to make a quick buck?

I went to CVS over the holiday weekend, and there was a VERY long line at the pharmacy. There was a man looking very disgruntled in line. He had about 5 Hallmark cards in his hand. When he got up to the register, he got his prescription, paid for that, then hid the cards behind the bag and walked out...

How could he do that on Christmas... and stealing gifts no less? He was well dressed, not a bum by any means, in a nice town too...

Please don't answer me with "lol" or or by telling me that the 9/11 terrorists didn't correctly state the purpose of their visit. I would really like to know in terms of national and national laws., and also ....what actually happened. This question occured to me last week while I was waiting in a long line of cars to cross the US/Canadian border. I knew the likely questions would be....Where did I live? ...what was the purpose of my visit?...did I have with me any alcahol, tobacco, or firearms? ...And I imagined the soldiers in an ivading army being asked similar questions.
