Sounds as if you're raising a kid, a juvenile delinquent rather than married to a man. Take the advice of everyone on this board and kick his asss to the curb.

He will probably not be able to drive a car under a provisional licence for the next five years and most likely be given a three months custodial sentence.Since he has a non appearance at court and offended whilst on bail for drink driving he should not get bail.

What should you do? pray that the judge has a change of heart and gives him 5 years to ensure that the waster does not kill someones Mother,Son or Daughter for the next five years as he has been lucky up until now.

Let's see: one charge of bank robbery and awaiting trial; one offence of failing to surrender to custody; one offence of driving with excess alcohol and driving without a licence; one further charge driving with excess alcohol and driving without a licence of which he is probably guilty, as he still doesn't have a licence and presumably was breathalysed. It sounds as though the kindest thing to do to your husband is to lock him up to protect the public from further offences of this nature and let the time spent in custody on remand count towards any eventual sentences of imprisonment. He doesn't seem able to keep out of trouble. The second drink driving charge will carry three years' disqualification and it would be handy to get it out of the way while serving a sentence.

Those are the facts, viewed objectively. If your husband is acquitted of the bank robbery, things can only improve from that depressing scenario!

Let's see.......

Bank robbery, driving under the influence (twice), non attendance at court (twice), driving without a licence, insurance etc. (twice).

I don't think he needs his mates to get him into trouble dear, he seems pretty good at it himself!!!!!

What do you want to do? If you want to stand by him then make sure he stays on the straight and narrow because if you don't, then he will do it again and will serve more time in jail and you will be asking the same question again. If he persists in drink driving then the next time he could kill someone and you would then be associated with this person and your life will be even more unbearable.

Move town, find a decent, law abiding person and settle down with them.

Jails and Prisons are full of people that are innocent. Thats what Prisons are for all the innocent people that way they are protected from society.

If he got arrested more than once for drunk driving and driving without a license then he definitly needs to go to jail.
But I can make one suggestion; maybe he should quit drinking and driving and get a license before he gets behind the wheel of a vehicle again. Oh! And lose the friends if you think they are the cause of his problems, but personally I don't think they are. It sounds like your husband is his own worst enemy.

As far as I'm concerned, he deserves to do jail time for the drunk driving charges alone. I'm not sure why you say his mates are trying to get him in trouble, but he needs some time in jail. Are you sure he's innocent of the bank robbery? Not showing up for court sure makes him look guilty. You need to get as far away from this guy as possible, or you will end up broke, in prison, badly injured, or dead. You really won't help him by trying to solve his problems for him. Good Luck!!

He won't change. He says he didn't do the robbery, do you have any way of knowing? He did get busted twice for drink driving. You need to cut your losses. I hope you don't have kids but even if you do you need to get the hell out of there.
