Please don't answer me with "lol" or or by telling me that the 9/11 terrorists didn't correctly state the purpose of their visit. I would really like to know in terms of national and national laws., and also ....what actually happened. This question occured to me last week while I was waiting in a long line of cars to cross the US/Canadian border. I knew the likely questions would be....Where did I live? ...what was the purpose of my visit?...did I have with me any alcahol, tobacco, or firearms? ...And I imagined the soldiers in an ivading army being asked similar questions.

Yes. this is a serious question. The point of my asking it is that I would like a well thought-out , and honest answer. You say my name is appropriate. Thank you and may God bless you! It's Biblical. I'm glad you recognise it.

thank you, Hesse. I should have been more specific ... the border between Kuwait and Iraq. I fully agree with you that my question sounds silly. ...but please believe me that I wouldn't waste my 5 points if I didn,t desire answers. The answers are getting better.

No, that is why it is called an invasion, rather like the illegal immigrants amongst us.

(Sorry, but you asked for it!)

On the other hand, they did have to go through customs on the way back as did their imbeded journalists, some of whom [the journalists] brought 'trophys' that had to be repatriated to Iraq.

At the border with whom? Kuwait? Kuwait was happy US invaded.

Iraq? Why would they ask the Iraq customs when they represent the authority that US wanted to wipe out?

National laws are respected until it is worthy to be respected. Alway, and that includes all countries, not only US. Once a country dicide to attack another one, the attacking country can choose to obey/disregard any national law.

Your question sounds silly, and I doubt you are this naive.

No they did not have go through customs or airport screeners due to the circumstances of it being a war setting. The soldiers were deployed to forward bases where they began training for the invasion. They stepped off the plane and received their orders. Put their gear away and certainly were drilling the same day.

Yes.
We had to make sure that they all the the appropriate documentation. As they were waiting in line in Iraqi customs they would ask "what is the purpose of your visit?", and American soldiers would have to say "invasion, overthrow of the iraqi government, and subsequent occupation of iraq".
It was tedious and time-consuming, but rules are rules.

Actually, they did go through customs. WHen the customs agent asked the purpose of their visit, they hid their machine guns behind their backs and sad they were there for vacation. Since they were the first people to ever visit Iraq on a vacation, the customs agent became confused and let them pass.

A letter was sent to who ever was in charge of receiving letters, it is a declaration of war. And what happened next falls under the category,"all is fair in love and war.
You do not need to go through customs, or show a pass port, it's called lets rock and roll, lets leave the country FUBAR.

Military invasions NEVER bother with customs. That's why the illegal alien invasion at our southern border is actually a military threat to the US and should be treated as such.

Actually the US had to get permission from the countries whose borders we crossed to get into Iraq... So yea I guess you could say , They got permission... If you remember , Turkey changed its mind about letting our soldiers use their borders and bases...

Anything but an invasion (Or something related to Invasion) they probably would have to.

But in an invasion, when they INVADE, they just march right in and announce their arrival in ways I'm not familiar way (I doubt their nice to look at though)

When troops are transported, they jump from a military controlled point to another. They have their own "customs check."
