I went to CVS over the holiday weekend, and there was a VERY long line at the pharmacy. There was a man looking very disgruntled in line. He had about 5 Hallmark cards in his hand. When he got up to the register, he got his prescription, paid for that, then hid the cards behind the bag and walked out...
How could he do that on Christmas... and stealing gifts no less? He was well dressed, not a bum by any means, in a nice town too...

purposely? can you accidently steal something?? lol. sorry, i thought that was funny. but alot of people do that. and you want to know something? alot of senior citizens steal as well. I worked in a nice neighborhood at a Long's Drugs for 6 months. our priority wasn't the young miniorities. it was all the old people.

Some people are just scum. A nice suit does not mean that a person is virtuous.
One of my favorite examples of this is a bar that serves free wings on Wednesday nights - no purchase necessary. The people who look like poor working folks at least order a soda with their wings. The families that come in all dressed up and driving a $60,000 car tend to ask for water. They can't even spend $1.50 on a Pepsi to get their 12 free wings.
Then, those cheapskates don't even tip the waitress because they haven't spent any money.
Scum.

Maybe he's a kleptomaniac. Maybe he is just a cheapskate. There are very few justifications for shoplifting that make any sense at all. If a mother breaks into a place to get food to feed her children when she has no other means, that doesn't make it right, but it mitigates the crime a bit. I can't see where Christmas cards fall into the realm of emergency necessity, so I'd say he goes on the Naughty List.

WOW! That is truly a sad story indeed! Taking something as minor as Christmas cards? Some people are so silly. Was that his way of taking his anger out on the store? I bet he feels like a bigger man. That's definitely a story you gather up the kids in front of the fireplace for...

How could the CEOs at Enron and other companies steal millions of dollars from its investors and knowing very well that many families would lose ALL their live savings? It is a reality of the world in which we live in - there is good and evil but we all have the free will to choose which one to do and risk the consequences.

You mean stuff like that is only supposed to happen in a run down working town? By people who dress like they are homeless? It happens everywhere.
