Well your asking the question proves to me just how out of touch most Republicans are as to the situation of most people. You live in your own little exclusive world and the views and situations of others just don't sink in your thick heads apparently. If you were more concerned with this country instead of bashing Democrats, then you would not have to ask.
For your record, I am an accountant. I look out a corner office each day right down onto Boston Common. I live in a house right beside the ocean. I work daily. I have never had an abortion nor have I ever sought public assistance. I paid for my own education. I am married to a medical student that when his resident days are over will practice not for the money but for helping mankind. Our world is not based on a money factor or the haves and have mores that make up Bush's base. Nor do we support a war that a commander in chief sought long before the tragedy of 9/11. Then lied blatantly to the American public and ruled them by sheer fear. Make people scared enough and they will believe most anything. We lost good friends in that tragedy too. I don't believe that God is a republican or that he approves of this horrific mess Bush has made of this country. When we have children, we will raise them to be responsible citizens like their parents are. We think, we do not blindly follow like sheep and believe anything we are told. We are not in a state of denial like most of you Republicans are about the state George Bush and his thugs have got this country into. Most of this country is sickened by this war and loss of precious American military lives. That showed in the election process. We believe in God, we pray.

Democrats are thoughtful of the Middle class, and the Lower class. They care about social issues like employment, minumum wage, universal health care, social security benifits. They look out for the overall well being of our society, not just for the ultra rich. They do not like war because it is a waste of money which could be used to help domestic problems. Iraq is an example of what they do not like.
Since I am one, I can tell you that, yes, I have two beautiful adult children who are both Democrats and lead highly productive lives and contribute to our society...and yes, we all vote, straight Democratic tickets for the above reasons.

My mother in-law and her husband are both devout dem.s. Both are extremely well educated, have money and are caring people. Neither one like to look solely at the facts and when asked can't really quote any facts or cite any statistical data. They have their own religion that seems to be loosely (very loosely) based on Christianity. She has been seeing the same chiropracter for years -- even after he "Accidently" crushed her pelvis. Soon, she's going to be having major back surgery. He takes more "Alternative" medicines and therapies than should be legal. Still, after a lifetime of non-hazardous living and never having smoked, with no family history of cancer, he had to have a pneumonectomy (a lung removed) last year due to cancer. Apparently none of his mega dosages of any of that crap worked.
My wife was raised to never know that there are limitations and "Right and wrong." She is learning. She now understands that things like welfare are nothing more than legalized slavery, that the "right" does have a thought process and usually sees a much bigger picture.
