My bf is in Iraq and the last time I talked to him he was going to the hospital to get his ankle looked at, but since then I have not heard from him and it has been a week. I don't know what to think and there is no way I can directly contact him. Any other females with men in the army have suggestions on what might be going on? I really miss him.

I'm sure a lot of nonsense gets investigated by the police. Are they obligated to inform the accused so that he or she can sue his/her accuser(s)? Can that information later be mis-used against the wronged party, that he or she was investigated?

USSR was a superpower....but after economic disaster they went back into the pack as just a normal power.....US is going in the same trend whereas china are going in the opposition direction.....US economy is in trouble and the dollar could be replaced like the british pound was replaced as the global currency...remember britain were the dominant power for 2 centuries....but america was the dominant power only in the 20th century....other countries are catching up with US military power....i mean the US military is stuggling to beat the iraqi insurgents....this US trend is very similar to the trends when the USSR lost its power as well as britain!!! just look....as soon as the 21st century started...US has been in decline in almost everything....military....economy....and political power...mostly thanks to bush....war on terror is really costing the US economy!!!i know most americans are blind to the future and think are invincible....but these are facts.... what do u think?

I am not asking which place I should work for.

I just hear so many complainst against Wal Mart & am curious if Target is any better, or are they just escaping the critisim because they aren't as big as Wal Mart?

I used to work for Wal Mart & I thin they've gone down hill a bit sense Sam Walton (founder) died.
But they have improved as far as promotions for women.
In my day, if a man was hired as a cashier, it would be only a month or so till he was promoted to Cashier manager. Very few women were ever given the position. They seem to be fair about that now.

Every mall I've been to always with two stories, has a huge flag hanging on the side from the ceiling in one of those gaps in the second floor. And most stores have those little American flag stickers on the window. Is it like a law or something, because I wouldn't think every mall would do that or every store with the stickers?

He saved Chile from Communism and took care of the communist. I mean seriously communism is against individualism and economic freedom which both are what makes America great. So if you dislike Pinochet you dislike America in my opinion. So why wasn't Pinochet a hero to you?

I mean what good has communism done? Why be against Pinochet? Why be against killing communist? He did humanity a service in my opinion. Not to mention Chile has the strongest economy and lowest unemployment because of his policies 25 years ago. What is wrong with that?

I just heard that in boot camp you could get in trouble and even fined money if you get cookies sent to you while in Army boot camp. Is this correct? I made cookies and would like to send them tomorrow, let me know? Is there a web site that has the rules of care packages? (specificly boot camp).

I was recently pulled over by a police officer after leaving a whataburger that was a little over a 1000 feet from a drug free zone. I had marijuana in my car, but i was pulled over for a expired sticker after I left and had travelled even further from the zone. i was arrested, and charged with possesion in a drug free zone. does the drug free zone count even though I was not in it when I was arrested. I was not near any churches, schools, arcades or anything. i was pulled over next to a abandoned house, self storage and a farmers field and two residences. please help me.

Someone I know was charged with four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, three counts of first-degree criminal possession of marijuana, and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, felonies. And also faces misdemeanor charges of second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief as well as unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Can any police officals, judges, lawyers, or criminal justice majors out there give me a guesstimate of how much time in jail this person would most likley face if found guilty on all counts? This all happened in NY and he was on parole on the time. Thanks!!!!
