My sister has a 4 year degree in criminalogy, and she has worked her way up to become a federal probation officer. I believe she makes around 60k a year.

Most states require a minimum of a two year associates degree in Criminal Justice and the average pay for this is appx. 30-40 K per year. With a 4 year degree in Criminal Justice you can earn 60-80 K
I have a 4 year degree in CJ, but I put mine to use in the USMC...
34 years, now I have a 104 K per year retirement income, but of course I had to fight a few wars in the interim..LOL!

In most states, you will need to have a college degree in criminology or a related field. In my state, the starting pay is poor, about 26,000.
