My bf is in Iraq and the last time I talked to him he was going to the hospital to get his ankle looked at, but since then I have not heard from him and it has been a week. I don't know what to think and there is no way I can directly contact him. Any other females with men in the army have suggestions on what might be going on? I really miss him.

being that he is your boyfriend and not your husband - you probably will get nowhere because of the privacy act the military needs to follow. Just remember that he is in a place where phone/computer service may not be accessible to him and he may just have to write a letter. There are times where those priveledges are suspended due to the threat condition on the base. The best thing to do is have his parents deal with the Red Cross or his unit leaders in the states. The parents are allowed information that you would not be allowed. And you never did say if you had talked to his parents (or next of kin listed for emergencies). Good Luck.

There may not be any serious problems it could be that he just doesn't have the time or the lines for the phones are too long. Or there could be a commo blackout which happens all the time. Just dont worry so much I'm sure he will contact you as soon as he gets a chance but if you are seriously worried and dont hear from him soon you can talk to the family readiness group in your boyfriends unit they will know how to contact him. You can also send a red cross message but they might take a while.

Since u r not married 2 him the military is not obligated 2 give u any information. If u know his unit, contact the post operator 4 the number. Contact them and ask them for his status....they may b willing 2 help u. Also, each unit has want they call an FRG (Family Readiness Group). It's usally formed by the soldier's wives and sometimes fiances. They may b able to help u. But the best way 2 find out is contacting the family....they would know his status. Wishing u the best of luck.

First remember that access to email and phones can be shut off for operational reasons. Second, how often do you normally hear from him? I would give it more time before you get too excited. He may just be on a mission and cannot tell you for operational security reasons.

If all else fails call Red Cross. Just don't do it too often as you might be using up resources.

My fiance is going to kuwait. and i think your best bet would be to contact the red cross to see if he's still in the hospital or what. also, i'm sure the people over there don't tell their loved ones everything that goes on with them over there. don't worry, it always makes things worse. if the red cross doesn't know anything try getting a hold of his parents or a sibling. someone that the military would tell things to. or call his unit or the recruiting office. they might not be able to tell you things in detail, bt i'm sure they can get a message to him. good luck and he's gonna come back to you safe!

Just give him some time and he will get in contact with you real soon. The mail isn't like it is here in the USA so stay tuned. I bet a letter will be on the way soon. ( Or maybe a phone call )

Be patient, you can be sure he is thinking of you, but he may be busy, and you can't always guarrantee timely or correct delivery of mail, just keep trying, keep writing.
