SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. - A grandmother found with a trunkful of marijuana was convicted of drug running in what prosecutors said was an attempt to earn cash for a bingo habit.

State troopers found 10 bundles of pot totaling 214 pounds hidden in Leticia Villareal Garcia’s car trunk last year when they stopped her outside Bisbee, in far southeastern Arizona.

Villareal, 61, told jurors before they convicted her Thursday that her only regular income was a $275 monthly welfare check, but she frequently played bingo and occasionally won thousands of dollars.

Prosecutor Doyle Johnstun said the game was Villareal’s undoing.

‘She’s got a bingo problem’
“People who play bingo almost every night of the week end up losing in the long run,” Johnstun told jurors. “The underlying issue is that she’s got a bingo problem, which explains why an otherwise nice person might get sucked into something like this.”

Jurors rejected Villareal’s argument that she’d been tricked into carrying the dr

On hearing a Birmingham council changed its mind & let a muslim women have her pic on her drivers licence with a full face veil.
...after hearing a primary school in brum where a boy was told that for PE he could wear a football shirt of any kind but NOT an England shirt as it may offend others!
Take it or leave it. I am tired of this nation (UK) worrying wheather we are offending some individual or their culture.
I am not against immigration, nor do i hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to the UK.
However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to the Uk, and apparently some born here, need to understand. As Britons we have our own culture, society, language and our own lifestyle. Our culture has been developed over cenruries of war & struggle.
You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.
IMMIGRANTS. NOT BRITONS MUST ADAPT.
Stop moaning and dont forget we have something in England called "The right to leave"

My daughter, who is 5, lives with me and her stepfather. Her biological father lives across the country, pays child support, but rarely sees her. My mother has been part of my daughter's life since she was born. Should something happen to me, it is obviously in the best interest of my daughter to be with either my husband, who is her "daddy", or my mother. Is there an easy way to make it so that she stays with one of them, or will her biological father have to sign over his parental responsibilities so that my husband can legally adopt her? Do courts look at situations like this and determine the child's best interest outside of biological parents?

Isn't a defeat spread out over many years even more humiliating? You can be certain more innocent Iraqi's will die, and therefore more terrorists will be created, and sworn to revenge. Not to mention the increasing number of dead and maimed American soldiers.

12 immigrants got caught this week in the city that I live in. Immigration went to a construction site and caught all of them. The immigrants, 8 from Mexico and 4 from Brazil were working for as little as 20.00 a day. Whos the bad guy, they for being illegal or the Contractor for paying them that little? Please give me your opinion. Do you feel bad they are getting paid that little? Or are you mad that the contractor is paying them so little? Or send them back?

There Are Hardworking, Taxpaying, Established ILLEGAL ALIENS
With Good Family Values
And No Criminal Record
(Except Of Coarse, That Little BORDER JUMPING Incident)

Lets Say That 25 Percent Of 20 Million ILLEGAL ALIENS
( 5 Million )
Are Respectable And "Law Abiding"

The Other 15 Million Are NOT Paying Taxes
Are Using False And Stolen Credentials
And Sucking Our Social Services DRY

Should We IGNORE The 15 Million CRIMINALS
On Behalf Of The Decent 5 Million ??

Should An Amnesty Be Granted To 20 Million
Because A Handful Of Them Do Not Deserve Deportation ??

The Question :

Can We SELECTIVELY Enforce Our Laws ??
Or
Should ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS Be Deported Upon Discovery ??

The Established Churchgoers
Can Apply For LEGAL Entry From Their Home Nation
AFTER They've ALL Been Deported

Keep In Mind
1/2 Of All ILLEGAL ALIENS In The USA
Have Arrived Since Bush Took Office In 2000
There Are 10 Million ILLEGAL ALIENS That Have Been Here
For 6 Years Or LESS

The Democrats and Republicans are of the same mind; elected officials hardly represent people's interests; any type of extreme opinion, especially that of the "left", is marginalized; voting has became a farce with rigged elections and the rest; and civil liberties are chipped away at every corner.
