There Are Hardworking, Taxpaying, Established ILLEGAL ALIENS
With Good Family Values
And No Criminal Record
(Except Of Coarse, That Little BORDER JUMPING Incident)

Lets Say That 25 Percent Of 20 Million ILLEGAL ALIENS
( 5 Million )
Are Respectable And "Law Abiding"

The Other 15 Million Are NOT Paying Taxes
Are Using False And Stolen Credentials
And Sucking Our Social Services DRY

Should We IGNORE The 15 Million CRIMINALS
On Behalf Of The Decent 5 Million ??

Should An Amnesty Be Granted To 20 Million
Because A Handful Of Them Do Not Deserve Deportation ??

The Question :

Can We SELECTIVELY Enforce Our Laws ??
Or
Should ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS Be Deported Upon Discovery ??

The Established Churchgoers
Can Apply For LEGAL Entry From Their Home Nation
AFTER They've ALL Been Deported

Keep In Mind
1/2 Of All ILLEGAL ALIENS In The USA
Have Arrived Since Bush Took Office In 2000
There Are 10 Million ILLEGAL ALIENS That Have Been Here
For 6 Years Or LESS

SittinPretty!

You Are Subggesting We SCREEN 20 Million ILLEGAL ALIENS ??

What Will That Do For The Immigrants
That Have Taken The Time
To Go Thru The Legal Process
And Now Must WAIT Even More
Because 20 Million ILLEGAL ALIENS
Just Got To The Front Of The Screening Line ??
Is It Fair To These Immigrants
That ILLEGAL ALIENS Get Preferred For
Screening Before Them ???

Screening 20 Million Is Ridiculous
" it's ridiculous the amount of time it could take "
And, Again, Just THINK How That Would Slow Down All The LEGAL Immigrants

I Think We Should Screen Them Upon LEGAL RE-ENTRY
AFTER They've Been Deported

" Most Get a fake green card

It Is A FELONY Crime
To Have Falsified Federal Documents

Any CITIZEN Caught Using A False SS#
Would Be Charged And Imprisoned
As A FELON

Why Should ILLEGAL ALIENS
Get A Green Light On Felony ??

No we can not have a legal system,in which people can pick the laws they want to disobey. The laws are made for the good of all people and must be enforced and obeyed.
We can not screen all illegal aliens, what must be done is an order of deportation must be ordered for all illegals giving them 30 days to leave, those that leave on their own would be able to apply for legal entry. The rest would be identified, located and systematically deported.with no hope of ever coming to the USA legally.Of course our borders need to be secured before this takes place to ensure they don't return. The cost of this has been placed at approximately $ 230 billion ,but the savings to this nation would pay that back in less than 5 years. So it would save more money than it costs to implement it.

Don't think that the Democratic party is going to grant amnesty. While there may be support for an illegal alien amnesty among the old guard Democrats in Congress, the incoming class of 2006, which is largely responsible for restoring Democratic control in both houses, appears to take a very different view of the matter. Many of the freshman Democrats are arriving in Washington with a message from the voters back home that controlling the borders and cracking down on employers who undercut the middle class by hiring illegal aliens is a top priority.
Doesn't sound like amnesty to me .

No, we should enforce all our laws and as far as amnesty goes, it should not be granted to ALL illegal immigrants here. There should be a whole screening process for those applying for amnesty and it should be granted only to those having worked steadily for the past 10 yrs, who have no criminal record and never having been on gov aid. Those having been here for less than that should be placed on a guest worker program until having completed a few more years of being "law abiding" after which they too will be granted amnesty. We should check legal status of ALL people arrested and in our jails and all here illegally should be deported immediately as well as those be found to be committting welfare fraud. On that subject, we need to get rid of whatever restrictions our social services employers have as far as being able to ask for proof of residensy or citizenship so that we can reduce the amount of illegals in our welfare system and implement a better ss# screening process to catch the fake ones before approving benefits. So basically, simply enforcing our laws will help but I think all or some of the other suggestions I made would help greatly as well.

If history teaches us anything it is that all laws are for everyone. NO exceptions. Punishment should fit the crime, illegal entry=deportation. If there are some decent illegals they had better get themselves sponsored and get the ball rolling or they will face and experience deportation first hand.

You're asking the wrong people. Until the government not only makes a firm decision on what to do about the illegal immigrants and then ENFORCES that decision, the problem is going to continue whether you and I like it or not. If you feel this strongly about the issue, write to your congress men and women and the President and vocalize it there. I think most Americans agree that illegal immigration is unfair and something should be done, however, we are powerless to do anything about it.

We selectively enforce laws here so that is what should be done!
I think it is more like 75% law abiding border jumpers than 25%.
J.D. I have seen more Americans that work under the table than illegals that do. Most Get a fake green card and fake SS# and pay taxes. They do not file tax returns at the end of the year and reclaim the taxes that they over paid like most Americans do. And do not say they do not pay in enough because if you have a child(ren) which most people do they would get money back. Hey why don't you find out where that money goes?

J.d I did not say it is right to do this. There are many things in this world that we (all People) have to do to survive! I would how ever like to say you will not let me answer one of your Q,s with out spitting fire at me. I am not trying to make you mad or be a no it all. I Only give answers in my opinion and things I see with my eyes. I do not take anything I see in the media serious at all. Illegal immigration does not have many TRUE FACTS behind it.

Enforce the laws..... All of the laws. Bush has not helped curtail the illegal population boom but then again neither did Clinton or Reagan. We the people must make ourselves heard to fix this problem because the government benefits from the illegals and we pay for it.

Deport them, no selectively enforcing laws - the only people I feel bad for are people coming from Cuba or other countries like that.. you will never make me feel bad about the illegal Mexican immigrants or any of them from Free Countries..- I keep getting thumbs down for my take on Mexican illegal immigrants..I've been to Mexico.. it's a nice country, granted they have poor areas, but so do ALL countries.. they are not the impoverished country they once were.. their unemployment rate is not high and they are one of the biggest tourist destinations in the Americas...They live in a FREE COUNTRY

We cannot selectively enforce our laws- Just as we cannot selectively choose which laws to abide by. Do the illegal aliens realize that? You cannot selectively choose which laws to abide by and be considered a law abiding citizen.
Deport them all- they made the decision to enter this country illegally knowing that they were breaking the law.
That doesn't exactly make them the bees knees, know what I mean?

You can't selectively enforce immigration laws because then the discrimination law suits start. The best way to go about it is to enforce all immigration laws equally.
