I'm not great at explaining things, but I'll give it a shot. Military time is based on a 24 hr period rather than 12 hr cycles. 0145 would be 1:45am. Basically, 0000(aka 2400 hrs or midnight)-1259 is just as it reads. But when you reach 1300 hrs, this changes to pm where we now need to do some math. To help you figure p.m. time, simply subtract 1200 from the time. For example: 1630? 1630-1200=430 meaning 4:30pm. I found a website that might give a better explanation for you to understand.

a million:40 5 am. it particularly is a 24 hour clock that starts off on the hours of darkness. So a million:40 5 pm may well be 1345; 7:30 pm may well be 1930. Translate 12 hour time to 24 hour time by employing including 12 to the clock time commencing at a million pm. hour of darkness is 2400; ten minutes later is 0010.

It is 1:45 am, I'll explain the 24hr clock to you. There is 24 hours in a day, so at 11:59 pm, it is 2359hrs, and at 12:01 am the next morning, its 0001hrs that next morning. Just forget about am and pm, and just add 12 hours to whatever time it is in the after noon. Say its 2:45pm in the afternoon, its 1445hr. there is usually a date included with a time zone. example would be- 04DEC06/1355HR(Z)
