I have known him for some years and he sent me a text the other day he had done a stupid thing and driven home drunk because he didnt have the taxi fare. I told him not to do it again, but he did and last night crashed into a parked car and drove off.

Will he find out it was me that reported him?

I've been goin to court trying to fight my charge with a public defender but it hasn't been looking to well. I can't afford a private lawyer. Since i was arrested i got a restraining order and sole custody of my children...He says he will not turn himself in, and my lawyer tells me that even if he did i still would be charged. I have never ever been in trouble with the law and obtained my apartment for 3 years before i allowed my ex to move in...within 7 months the police were busting down my door. i am not listed on the search warrant but the description of my ex was. they are trying to give me a felony and 120 days of community service....I am NOT GUILTY so ive been fighting this since June 2006. I currently am having trouble finding employment because my background checks show that i'm currently goin to court for the charge. I dont know what to do or anything that can help me with my case. My public defender doesn't seem to be to interested...

It seems to me, that even those below the poverty line in this nation are stilll fat. They obviously find food somewhere.

In contrast, people below the poverty level in say, Africa and Central America, are emaciated and covered with flies.

Should our government increase the living standard of people who can't buy more useless crap, but still have food to eat, or should they care about increasing the living standard of people who die by the hundreds everyday due to starvation?

i was arrested by arlington,tx. police. about 15 months ago, after i agreed to a search of my vehicle, not knowing that some friends of my then girlfriend, that i reluctantly let use my truck to move some furniture, left a meth. pipe and a little baggie of meth. at the back of my console, approx. 1 month before the arrest. i have a degree in criminal justice and don't do drugs now, nor have i ever. about 2 months after that, i was searched again by a different p.d. and another baggie and pipe were found in approx. the same location, at the back of my console. undoubtedly, the arlington officer had overlooked these items and i hardly ever open the console, and i certainly didn't know they were there. i was arrested again. my lawyer sounded very hopeful of getting them all dismissed at first, but now he's trying to get me to cop out to either probation or a lengthy drug rehab. program that i don't need, and it is very expensive.

Yeah!!!! I do need help, the man in my life has been abusing me
badly for the last 2 years, and last night did it again, I am going to
lay charges.......Healing well means that in spite of this my mind is still sound even though my body is taking a lot of beating................

The only answer for this is the police, but, he keeps asking me to
pay him to leave, when he is beating my head in all the time, you
know how this ends, if I DO not give in to his request possibly in
my death.......................Yip!~!!! half the police in my street, know
and want to deal with this situation..................................................

What do you think I should do, the police seem to be my only
answer now......................................................................................

1. following a recent apology by Tony blair on british participation for African slave trade, i think that an apology is not enough,, there should be compensations from all countries who are to be blamed on slavery.
2. such compensations need to be given to all african Goverments who were the victims of slavery, as slavery was also the result of why whites and blacks hate each other, further more slavery was also the result of why most african countries are poor today, as those countries also not only took slaves, they also took African resources by force, they took African lands from their owners, they exploited the African people, they massaccre African people, and violate their Human rights.
3. i also took the ideas from a Newspaper from a Country in Africa called Namibia, were by the people who were the victims of the World war 2 demands Compensations from the German Goverment and they are now given compensation.i need answers please.

As I understand it, the US 'right to bear arms' revolves around the safeguard of the citizens being able to form a militia and oust a tyranical government. 200 years ago this may have been possible but today is it possible? I know that guerrilla warfare in Iraq, Afghanistan, Viet Nam, Northern Ireland etc can make life difficult for the 'superior' force, but that is different from removing ones own government.

There is a guy who lives near me, and he has a huge flag of some country (I'm not sure which one), and below it he has a small US flag. Do you think this is wrong, because if he likes his country that much, why did he even bother moving to the United States? It just doesn't seem right to me.
