It's a great way to lose a mid-term. If on 9/12 Bush had demanded the unconditional surrender of EVERYBODY, the Republicans wouldn't lose an election in this lifetime. Instead we have to half-assed wars, unprecedented illegal (and legal) immigration, and record spending from the so called fiscal conservatives.

This makes you a moderate, just like the majority of the population. Best not to allign one's self with a specific party, but to judge each issue on its own merits. Gay marriage, abortion, and foreign policy have very little to do with one another. They need not be tied into a single political package.

form your own party and be disenfranchised, or go independent and be disenfrachised.
