Can not just be supportive of the troops or our military, which ever word you prefer. Why is it so unpopular to think that the troops do a good job and are very important but that the people in command and in charge, not just Bush, are not doing a good job? I have seen so many postings that turn into a political debt. I don’t care if you hate the administration, MEN ARE DYING! That’s what is important! I understand that it, at times, can be a necessity but why doesn’t every one agree to limit the amount of men and women who are dying. Am I seriously crazy or is that not a good goal. (Rhetorical question, I’m not crazy.) Seriously I support our troops, I have family who has served and some who are over there now and friends’ husbands’. Can’t we all agree to get in, get it done, and get the heck out so we minimize our loss? By loss I do mean PEOPLES LIVES. It’s not just the life of the military personnel that is affected it is also who they know and love.

I don't mean socialized healthcare, and I don't mean provided for free. I simply mean that government could meet with insurance companies and find a soultion to this problem facing many working americans. is anyone against that?

OK my husband is working at a job site who also has union members working there as well. They are trying to get my husband his coworkers and his employer to join the union.Which they have already refused to do. They harass them trying to convince them to join. Just last week they were handing out peices of papers with my boyfriends pic and 8 other coworkers faces on it.They drew a pic of a rat on my husbands sgirt and wrote scab across his forehead. Some he wrote mexico on their foreheads. Is this legal? Should we sue them for this or do we not really have a case?

My boyfriend, has a badly infected finger. He is a veteran (served in Iraq for 13 months) and does not have health insurance (we're both full-time students). He went to the VA to have it looked at and they said that they can get him in until mid-FEBRUARY!!!! For an acute infection? Why don't we give the VA more funding...and don't say it is the Libs...we have had a R-Congress and President for 6 years. I just don't think that any party particularly supports the troops more than another, unless of course sending them to war is considered supporting them.

The Syrian Muslim Brotherhood (SMB), in alliance with the ex-vice- president of Syria, Abdul Halim Khaddam, a staunch Ba’athist, have opened an office in Washington DC. The aim of the office is to infiltrate the US government and influence its apathy towards political Islam. and this......Congressman Conyers is sponsoring the Orwellian House Resolution 288, apparently seeking to criminalize criticism of Islam.

On average, when they are speaking about various subjects, how many congressmen or senators are actually there listening?

I imagine it must be discouraging, if noone shows up to listen. Why aren't there any requirements, that they have to be there to listen to arguements? Isn't that their job? Rather than be in the hallways talking to lobbyists?

Especially about the Iraq war? He acts like he knows what he is talking about, but clearly has no idea. Every debate I've seen him in, he loses. Michael Moore spanked him in their debate.

My strategy:

1. Multinational full-scale invasion of the entire Middle East as with Nazi Germany.
2. Dispose off all the current governments/terrorist groups over there. Seize all arms.
3. Force population exchanges and divide land evenly amongst populations keeping in mind resources and other factors.
4. Start new civilization. "Scorched Earth" all the old remnants of what was before excluding archeological discoveries and anything of historic value.
5. Propagate civilized administrators under the jurisdiction of the international community until they can fully govern themselves under an indefinite time frame.
6. Rebuild.
7. World Peace (relative not absolute, for a limited time) will occur through that example.

Just to put the "Fear of God" into other tyrants in this world... Call it Operation Armageddon: The Last Crusade. That will scare most of the world straight. Kim Jong Il would williningly step down and hang himself.

Hi,
I'm trying to find the ORS 165.140 Paragraph C law in Oregon. I have tried the http://www.leg.state.or.us site to find the law, but it's saying that it has been repealed. I'm not a lawyer, just trying to find out somethings for a case. Your help will be much appreciated.

Is it not obvious that you will be paying for it through much higher taxes? Look at England, they pay more than half of their income in taxes and still receive sub-par care.
To steal from another poster, imagine waiting in the line of any government service provider(i.e. the DMV) with abdominal pains or bleeding. Pretty scary I know.
The government has proven through out its history that is terrible at spending our money effectively and efficiently.

I am 15 right now and I want to move out of my parents house next year and go get emancipated. My parents aren't abusive or unfit or anything I just want to move out. Me and my boyfriend are planning on moving out when we are 16 with a friend of mine and his. My friend is going to be 18. She said we could live wit her, but we have to pay half of the rent. I have a job and so does my boyfriend. So what exactly do I have to do to get emancipated in the state of Ohio? Thanks!

My husband is sueing his former employer for unpaid wages. What kind of opening statement should he make? What kind of questions could the judge ask? Basically put, what all should we expect in the hearing? We have all the paperwork that we could get our hands on. He never received a paycheck from this employer because she claims she owes him nothing due to a mishap on the job. He was never properly trained and all he has is his log book (he is a trucker) and a statement from another trucker that is from a different company that tried helping him the best way he could.

Serious replys only please.
