With the many issues being debated by Rep and Dem and Ind, it's hard to take a stand and agree with one party about every single issue. I have some Dem views and some Rep views, but I vote for the person who sees my view of one major issue. The others are more minor to me.
What major views keep you Democrat or Republican or neither? abortion, the environment, gun control, health care, etc...

Seems that Nancy Pelosi is against it, but what worries me is that it might set up a precidence for other megalomaniacal American administrations to act so unilaterally and disregard national and international laws to achieve their rapacious goals. Shouldn't the American people and the American government set up the precidence to prevent any similar recurrence?

Saddam has been sentenced to hanging. Remember, he was this ruthless dictator who committed genocide. He had people killed at will, just for dissenting. I'm just wondering if the same people who support NAFTA are the same people who are so vigorously anti-illegal immigration that they want to round up all the Mexicans & send them back to Mexico.

I wonder if these people realize that one of the reasons we have so many illegals from Mexico crossing our border is because of a direct result of the consequences of NAFTA.

Agricultural prices in Mexico went down because of the heavy agricultural subsidies given to U.S. farmers. Trade unions in Mexican urban areas lost their influence as a direct result of NAFTA as well. The vast majority of Mexican illegals are farmers who were forced off their land by bankruptcy in response to the disproportionate agreement in favor of the U.S. and Canada, leaving Mexico's main exports sinking year after year.

The free-flow of people across the U.S.-Mexico border was actually supposed to be a part of the 2nd phase of NAFTA, which was to be fully implemented by 2010. 9/11 changed that, of course -

for a domestic burglary.I was next door to the incident and well pissed, two officers said they saw me in the dwelling.I was in a for
23 hrs in cell, charged,went through the Magistrates sytem pleading Not Guilty then 3 times to Crown waiting for forensics.I then pointed out to my Barrister that the witness who reported the incident had given a different description! The prosecution said No Contest.I have no criminal record just a drunk in the wrong place.This was in 2001 could I have kicked up a stink afterwards?

Two persons, both know each other, one knows both have either the same fingerprints, or DNA, or even both, winds up committing a crime and leaves his fingerprints behind. Let's say for the sake of arguement the other innocent guy's fingerprints are on file with the authorities, but not the other guy's & he commits a serious crime & doesn't get caught. Who goes to jail & pays for the crime?
