Hitler was a Roman Catholic, baptized into that religio-political institution as an infant in Austria. He became a communicant and an altar boy in his youth, and was confirmed as a "soldier of Christ" in that church. The worst doctrines of that church never left him. He was steeped in its liturgy, which contained the words, "perfidious Jew." This hateful statement was not removed until 1961. Perfidy means treachery.

Hitler wasn't a Christian. What rock did you crawl out from under? Why do people think that because politicians use christian rhetoric in their speeches they are Christians? Many people from Islamic nations consider all Americans to be Christians. That obviously is incorrect. To make a statement like Hitler was a christian is as absurd as saying Bill Clinton never had sex with Monica.

When will it stop. It has been proven over and over and over again by legitimate and respectable scholars that Hitler was not part Jewish and yet it crops up again and again.
As one person before me posted he was baptized and raised as a Catholic, was an Altar boy in his youth in Austria. He became a German in 1932 and when he was in power he did not practise his religion anymore. As the the third Reich became firmly established its administration began to persecute and imprison Church people who spoke out against NAZI policies. Pastor Dohnhofer was imprisoned and executed just a few days before the end of the war. Pastor Niemoeller survived the concentration camp. There were many more - it would be too long to name them all-
So in answer to your question: No I do not think he was a Christian.

They think atheists are the biggest mass murderers. They forget Mussoulini, Stalin, and Hitler were christians. Hitler was a member of the catholic church and most his nazis members were lutherans. They were Christians.

"The National Government will regard it as its first and foremost duty to revive in the nation the spirit of unity and cooperation. It will preserve and defend those basic principles on which our nation has been built. It regards Christianity as the foundation of our national morality, and the family as the basis of national life."
