Saddam has been sentenced to hanging. Remember, he was this ruthless dictator who committed genocide. He had people killed at will, just for dissenting. He had people, including children tortured in torture rooms. His sons routinely raped women. Why isn't the fact that he's being brought to justice a bigger story?

If you rejoice in the pain and death of a murderer, how are you any different?

If it is revenge that people crave, life in prison in obscurity would be much worse.

Im not really sure. I think it should be a way bigger story than it is. The people in Iraq are really mad and protesting and everything. They need to be more grateful that the most ruthless man on earth will soon be gone.

Note* Don't you think it's wierd that they sentenced him to hanging just a few days before election day (where some states are voting on the death penalty amendment). ITS a CONSPIRACY!!! (Not really but I thought it worth mentioning)

He shouldn't be hung. He should have to rot in prison the rest of this life....worse fate than just ending it and getting it over with...plus when he dies he will get to rule hell with Satan and Hitler. LUCKY!

Yes, he deserves the death penalty. But most Americans would rather see the picture of some Marines dragging bin Laden's dead *** out of a cave in Pakistan.

to be honest i didn't know about it! i'm glad i got informed. and like one of the other people above me said it's because brittany dumped kevin federline (yay!), it's because people just don't care anymore which is a real shame! i'd rather have them not hang him bc there is still a chance that he could live through it-it's happened before unfortunally! i am only 13 and i relize this when people who are 23 don't even care! i wish that there were more people who cared in the world!

It's a relief knowing he can no longer commit such unspeakable crimes. The concern I have is: How many more Saddam-types are still out there, and will they ever be caught?

Did you miss the crowds celebrating in the streets in Iraq?

Ditto!! *applause! applause!* I am so tired of hearing people defending the man. If they were one of the persecuted Iraqi's, they'd have a different view wouldn't they?

Man, since hes was taken down something like 400 ppl have died in bombings and **** cause of the reactions due to his conviction. 400... he was convicted for the killing of 180 or something like that. Ummmmm wouldn't it be smarter to just not convict him and let those ppl live, bad to worse. iono You choose i mean yea im glad hes out of power, but its kinda like, maybe they should've hung him and not told anyone?

I am still waiting. I THINK he is guilty and should be punished but his trail was basically a "kangaroo court" and justice has not yet been served.
