This is just an observation, but most moderates recognize the extremist questions/answers and just avoid them entirely. Trust me - we are out here its just that most of us are well aware that you can never engage in a rational discussion with them. We are not disillusioned into believing or expecting any kind of normal dialogue and reasonable compromise or give and take so we just avoid them. The very definition of "extremism" makes the assumption that they will be loud, say outrageous things to garner attention and will not move under any circumstance from their stated positions (they are so absolutely sure of their "rightness" that they cannot accept alternative views). Their polar opposites gravitate toward them to ensure that their hated opposites do not have the full stage. It is a natural thing - us moderates just avoid them entirely. Getting involved in a discussion where there can be no rational debate is a waste of times to most moderates, we know this, so we remain calm and silent. It is also why we are the most courted voting group - we are normally always the swing votes. I guess you could call us the "Invisible Majority".

Who the #@!%# are you, and what kinda BS question is this?
You just got into this and your upset already?
There's moderates here, there's extremeists here, and there's definitely BS here. Why not add to the arguments--critics without a clue who make statements like yours can be weeded out very quickly--don't give up without a fight!!

Extremism is a popular hobby here. Primarily because an extremist question gets more attention than a moderate one, and an extremist answer gets more attention than a moderate one. There is very little real discussion and questioning here; it's mostly about ego and entertainment. I prefer to approach it all with humor and honesty.
Odds are you'll never meet any of us poor $#%$% anyway...

If you had taken time to read the TOS you would know that #@!%# is a violation.
Luckily John Skerry is not here or he would report you.
That said your form of speech shows that you are obviously a AlQuide supporting tree hugger. You need to sell your house and give the $$$ to the RNC.

You are just suffering from newbie shock. I was like that too when I first started getting on this thing. There are moderate people out there, mostly extremist though. Just sit back and laugh at them and dont let them get to you if you want to be in this forum.

Trust me, everyone comes into this political section moderate, I sure did, and after a while you'll get thrown to one side or another, happens to everyone. Moderates cannot exist within this game they call politics. The arguments from both sides will consume them both

Welcome to yahoo answers. Somebody remove a question of yours? This is just another form of entertainment on the internet, don't take things personally. We are all a bunch of raving lunatics entertaining ourselves. One out of every ten answers might be serious. Otherwise the venom is free...enjoy.

Moderates is a PC way of describing milk toasts.
Milk toast solutions do not work in the 21st century world.

I spend a lot of effort here being against ignorance and hatful comments...If there is anytime to be verbally vigorous, it's when lies or insults are cast about.
