Politicians often work to gain votes by providing, in many cases, polarizing messages. These messages are designed to shift voters’ attitudes and elicit emotional responses. “Class” is often used by politicians when discussing key polarizing issues.

I'm completely baffled that they turn a blind eye to their constituents. $5.15 an hour is the federal minimum wage. Who can actually live on that? They constantly vote to raise their own salaries, but when it comes to the rest of the country they act like $5 is enough to live on. Then you hear them campaigning saying they want to work for you and that if we vote for them they'll get us the benefits we deserve as Americans. It makes me feel like it's all a big lie. As if our country is a big lie, being lead by liars, being lied to constantly, lying about reasons to go to war. What's their excuse to not raise the minimum wage?

Simple little partythink automitons say things like "he didnt mean what he said, he really meant it about Bush even though he didnt say it about Bush, he said it about alll US Servicepeople".

People say things for a reason, and if you watched the footage of Kerry's now infamous speech, you see him walking around and improvising ... not reading from anything.

I love it when politicians tell us what they really think and have the most respect for those who do. When you have nothing to hide, you have no problem winging it, and speaking from the heart.

So, as much as I loathe Kerry and all who apologize for his outrageous insult of US Servicepeople, I am oddly left with a mild degree of respect, that I never had before. You can loath a person and still respect some aspect of them.

Kerry's record is no mystery. He has been counter-culture since his overtly beatnick days. Like most leftists, he has hatred for American culture...and I dont think hes the extreme end at all.

Why did Federalists first oppose the addition of a bill of rights? Why did most Antifederalists believe such a bill was absolutely necessary?

The republican government has no interest in reducing pollution. Why? Do they care more about money and big business than the health of the people and the planet?

The Clinton & Bush Administration passed Bills through Congress that ignore Constitutional Law. Let me explain, Clinton invaded Family affairs such as parenting rights, finacial support orders, imprisonment for non-compliance of a court order. Bush invaded Civil Lerberties such as suspending Habeas Corpus, Posse Comitatus, passing Patriot Act I & Act II. Both administrations have corrupted media coverage concerning North American Union and have sold out nearly all our ports. Now 75% of all highways in the US will be controled by the United Nations along with all our National Parks and toll fee's will be charged to use these roads by the UN. Please dont respond to this question if you are not up to speed and /or educated in this field. Everything I have stated herein is true and has been documented with many new agencies.

my answer: look at the ever-changing screen names and then the profiles. Shiraz for example, is now zihar but with the same avatar ... and back to 3 points at level 1 because he/she obviously got booted for insults/epithets.

also, questions are 100% political. the rest of us have some other interests mixed in, but we're not getting paid to do this.

any thoughts?

They used to really anger me. "What don't they understand about the word ILLEGAL" I used to think. It used to p me off so much that they mooch off our system and blah, blah, blah. But recently I've been reading some answers on this site about it and they have softened me. There lives must be pretty bad there in Mexico. They risk their lives and the lives of their children to sneak into our country with dreams of a better life. Sure they want free stuff but wouldn't I want all those things for my family, too, if I was in their shoes? What do you think about that? Wouldn't you, too?

I am becoming more and more frustrated with this system we live in! most of us live hand to mouth with no hope of achieving the ideal of retirement, meanwhile the "haves" have way too much wealth and we worship them for it, is there even such a thing as a middle class anymore?
I have stumbed across the concept of profitless capitalism, and am intrigued! but see no practical ways of influencing the system from my small patch of humanity.
our healthcare system here in canada is quietly becoming 2 tiered
with the wealthy about to enjoy an ideal system of proactive rather than reactive health services, think of waiting 2 ot 3 weeks for an elective surgury rather than 2 years the rest of us have to wait.
what can we do? I don't want to become hopeless!
