The US EPA has stricter regulations concerning emissions, runoff, cleanup, and disposal than the majority of other countries. Some countries have no environmental laws whatsoever. To say the USA is the world's biggest polluter is very, very far from the truth.

The "Republican" Government???? Let me ask you something, why aren't cars from France available here. Remember the Peugeot? Renault? Citroen? They are'nt sold here because they DON'T meet our emmission standards. Do you know about the Lada? Available in Canada, but NOT here. WHY? Oh, gee, emmision standards. If you were to GET out of your parent's basement and travel in daylight to other countries, you would SEE that we have the CLEANEST air. China has 16 of the world's TOP 20 most polluted cities. India is second.
Maybe if you coudl get your liberal blinders off and get put downteh Kool-Aid, you MIGHT realize this.

Because unfortunately it costs a lot of money to get elected to office and the money comes from large companies and special interest groups so politicians are already bought before they are elected ( go ahead you political hacks out there prove me wrong I dare you but remember the Kennedy's first and remember the risk if you don't stay bought )

Neocons don't care. Period. Every safeguard to protect nature and human life has been abolished by them. Money is the objective Now it's up to corporations and individuals to take up the bandwagon.
Get with positive messages. Research how to help and get busy. Vote the Neocons out of office so that the Republicans can take their party back and the Democrats can take part in the government they were kicked out of. It's time for America to be American again

The EPA does regulate that stuff. If you don't believe me look at the stuff they used to use back in the early 1900's. Also if we go rid of everything that was bad our way of life you come to an end. No electricity, computers, heat, radios, cars, and everything I enjoy in life. Think about what you said, now think of everything you enjoy in your life. Do you wanna give up all of the things that could cause damage to the planet?

I think it's because there is little money to be made in greener alternatives and because our government is in-twined in the oil industry.
Also, it's because some people are so short sighted, they think that because it won't effect THEM PERSONALLY, it's not an issue.
I'd like to think that my friends kids, great, great grandchildren (as I have no kids of my own) will have clean water, air and earth to live on. But unfortunately, it doesn't look like we're heading that way.

Find a nation that produces more and creates more new products (medicine, high technologies, agriculture, etc.) that the world needs and desires than the USA ... AND who cleans the earth more than we do annually.
