Officially, he's a United Methodist. His religious views, however, are closer to those of fundamentalist Baptists. He is probably a closet creationist.

He's from Texas...chances are he's at least nominally a Baptist. Which is nice with the once saved always saved doctrine! (My inlaws are Baptist preachers and say they know him.)
