Actually, I'd settle for the original pledge that was written by a Baptist Minister, one Francis Bellamy on September 7, 1892.
" I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all"
But I do find it odd that you claim the democrats want to oppress people while the current Republican administration has gone to great lengths to strip people of civil rights with the excuse of "these are bad people, trust us!"
