to the 89 year old man who killed 10 people with his car at a farmers market. Yahoo just posted an article that he was convicted. What do you think should be done? He's 89 and in poor health. He could get up to 18 years in prison.

Dont you think we are unsafe in them, but there are so many, and they are building more. We should limit all buildings to 4-5 storys, then we could stop worrying about bin-laden.

The guy Im in love with left to go to basic training Aug.16, 2006. His eight wks is up now--Should he be graduating from basic. I thought basic training was eight wks, not more. Will he come home for Thanksgiving? I wrote him 2 letters already. I just sent the 3rd letter off yesterday. I was wondering why he hasnt responded back yet. He cant even take 10-20mins. to say Hi. What's up with that? We had intimate relationship when he left(not going together) "you know". Before he left, our communication skills wasnt good at all. He would mainly have these moody attitudes with towards me. Ex: I would call him--he answer the phone Hello, what u want. It's like he dont want anything to do with me. Most of the time he would ignore my phone. We have been intimate about 4X's. Wasnt I just a piece of you know what to him? Help!!!

Is this a problem when the spokesman for the Bush administration cannot answer a reporter's question about whether or not we are winning in Iraq? I think the definition of winning would include fewer military and civilian casualties, not more. Welcome to 1984. Iraq is an Orwellian nightmare brought on by this inept administration.

Like EU, Canada and USA will retain their own countries' identities but their economies and borders will merge. What are the pros and cons of such merger?

Considering the natural oil reserves Canada has (2nd largest in the world) - it might not be that beneficial for Canada to join such a union.

And havent' they ultimately shot themselves in the foot because now most country stations do not play them, not as many album sales so they have to turn to making a documentary to make some more cash??

Let me begin by saying that I am not opposed to conservatism. I believe in economic and fiscal conservative policies, but I do not understand the religious right.

They want to reintroduce God and "family values" to America. In doing so they want to ban gay marriage, abortion, euthanasia, and emphasize the traditional nuclear family. I understand how that lines up with their values.

My question is, how do things such as torture, lying to the American people, and promoting the wealthy fall in line with those values?

Like I said, I am an economic conservative so I support tax cuts for the wealthy (included in tax cuts across the board) assuming governmental fiscal responsibility. I just don't see how that matches up with Christian ideals.

Christian thought says that the meek will inherit the earth and that we should look out for the poor. It also says it's very hard for rich men to enter heaven. So how is favoring the wealthy Christian?

How is torture Christian?

the Detainee Bill allows the president and anyone he designates to label someone (even American citizens) as an "enemy combatant". this person will then be arrested and given no trial and be denied habeas corpus.

The end is nearer than we want to realize.

How can we called a democracy and can't even count our own votes? Remember the 2000 elections? Osama and the crew had to be laughing their butts off as we were counting loose chads, and ballots, and debating results. We were so distracted by that foolishness, while terrorist were planning our demise. It is a disgrace.

In to-days newspapers it says the Chief Constable of North Yorkshire has had a shower room and fittings installed in her office which may have cost as much as £28,000. I appreciate that a police officer should be 'clean' but this a bit much. In addition she has just spent £500,000 of taxpayers money to provide Volvo cars for her senior officers. The local members of the Police Authority have promised an investigation.
