The insurgents have members with varied interests. I'm not informed enough to know who all has coals in the fire on this one. Sunni, Shiite, Al Qaeda? Who else? Are there groups of people not associated with any of these groups who are just tired of Americans being in their country?

They've got real leverage over NoKor (over half the food aid and nearly all the oil comes via the Chinese Border) and this nuclear situation directly affects them (NoKor nukes can mean counterpart SoKor, Japanese or even Taiwanese nukes, setting off a new Arms Race that would be bad for them). Yet all they've done so far is support (half-heartedly even, based on their actions the past few days) a bunch of sanctions that are practically useless against a depraved NoKor anyway.

Are they that naive... or are they really supporting (behind the scenes) Kim Jong ill's nuclear program and they are only putting on a farce diplomatic show?

I work at a group home and it is within the client's rights to attend church. I am atheist and I believe that it is within my rights to refuse to attend services. I said that I had no problem transporting and waiting in the parking lot, but they said that I have to go inside to moniter the clients. There are other people that are able to attend that would not be offended, only inconvenianced. The upper management said that because they were not forcing me to believe in the religion, it was not an infringment of my rights. I do not find this to be correct. What do you think? Who do I contact in Michigan to address this issue?

I WAS ARRESTED FOR DWI, I BEGGED TO TAKE A BREATHALIZER TO PROVE MY INNOCENSE, I BEGGED FROM THE MOMENT THEY PUT HAND CUFFS ON ME TO TAKE THIS TEST, THEY FINALLY GAVE IT TO ME. I PASSED THE TEST, ONE OF THE OFFICERS HAD EVEN TOLD ME I PASSED THE BREATHALIZER. THE TEXAS DEPT. OF PUBLIC SAFETY GAVE ME MY LICENSE BACK FOR PASSING THE TEST. BUT WHEN I WENT TO COURT THE JUDGE HAD NO SUCH RECORD ON FILE, THE D. A . SAID IT DIDN'T MATTER AND THEY DON'T HAVE IT IN THEIR FILE EITHER. BUT IT'S THE STATE OF TEXAS SUING ME AND THE STATE OF TEXAS THAT GAVE ME MY LICENSE BACK BECAUSE I PASSED THE BREATHALIZER, THAT'S WHAT IT SAID IN THE LETTER I RECEIVED FROM THE TX. DEPT OF PUBLIC SAFETY. EVERYBODY FROM THE D.A TO THE JUDGES ASSISTANT HAS SAID IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT THE TEXAS DEPT. OF PUBLIC SAFETY SAYS, EVEN THOUGH THE STATE OF TEXAS IS SUING ME AND THE STATE OF TEXAS GAVE ME MY LICENSE BACK. I GET MANY DIFFERENT ANSWERS BACK ON THIS , AND I'M WORRIED THE D A WILL TRY TO HAVE IT TAKEN .

All these recent U.S. presidents and presidential candidates dodged, one way or the other, combat service in Vietnam: President George W. Bush, President Bill Clinton, Vice-President Al Gore, Vice-President Dick Cheney, Senator Joe Lieberman. And most of the men and women who will be running for president in 20 years will be persons who chose not to serve in the military in the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

if marxist communism is such a wonderful thing and capitalism is so awful, then why did communist govt's have to keep their citizens behind a wall with machine guns and barbed wire? why are cubans risking their lives in shark infested ocean to defect to the evil capitalist america? why would there be defectors in the first place if communism is so great? plus, how many people are trying to defect to a communist nation? how many americans are risking their lives to escape to cuba or any other utopian "worker's paradise"?? did it occur to you that these people knew a little more about communism than you?

She just loves being in the spotlight. I wonder if she knows her son volunteered for the military. Hello?? We don't have the draft anymore!! Now, i am sorry that her son died. He is a brave american soldier and nothing she does should take away from that. But her actions are deplorable. Maybe that's why her sane husband divorced her.

THEY DO GET A TRIAL. Pay attention. What part of "selected byt the military for PROSECUTION" don't you understand?

The legislation applies to those selected by the military for prosecution and leaves mostly unaffected the majority of the 14,000 prisoners in U.S. custody, most of whom are in Iraq. Bush needed the legislation because the Supreme Court in June said the administration's plan for trying detainees in military tribunals violated U.S. and international law.~usa today
