Hel yes.
Think about it, the U.S. used the U.N. to disarm Iraq, then invaded.
This followed closely after calling them "evil".
The U.S. is trying to do the same to N.Korea.
N. Korea's nuke testing is like marking its territory, fair warning of mutual destruction.

Unless there are dramatic changes in the course of the present negotiations and UN sanctions - yes, North Korea will continue to test nuclear devices.
I don't think North Korea is a proxy of any other country (and, for what it's worth, I don't think Israel is a "proxy" for the United States.)
Definition: Proxy - "The authority to act for another."

Lately China is just as worried about a nuclear armed N. Korea as their other neighbors. It's far more likely they would use a nuclear weapon against a closer target than America.

Well, this is not going to turn out well for North Korea. He will set off another and another until it shows up on our sensors as a multi-megaton blast. The first one was sort of a fissle. As I understand it from Reading Clancey's novels. Plutonium is used to set off a low grade fission reaction, which is used a a shaped charge, if you can imagine shaping an atomic explosion. Which in turn sets off a fusion reaction. Which is the trick to producing a big bang in a small package.
The reason he needs to do that is he doesn't have a B-29 superfortess to deliver the bomb and it needs to be small enough to fit on his limited lift missles in order to reach the Japan, Austrailia or the West Coast of the U.S.
Once he proves he can made a high yield weapon small enough to fit on his missles. He can blackmail us and the Japanese for more aid.
But what he is not figuring on is that the Japanese can start building nukes tomorrow if they want to. And they have all the technology and the raw materials on had to do it. I believe once he can threaten Japan there will be no holding them back their survivial will be at stake.

Several things are wrong about this question.
First, Isreal is NOT proxy for US. You have a misconception.
Neither is N.Korea a proxy for China.
Will they target the US? Not in your life. We have such sophistication in monitoring enemy activity - especially nuclear - no one dare. It will be destroyed above the ocean long before it reaches our shores.
Will they test another weapon? Yup, most definitely they will. US has already said they see intense activities pointing to a second blast. It will happen sooner than you think.

I think he will perform another test. He is all bluff and bluster, trying to get attention and "respect" for bringing his little commie country into the "nuclear" club. China doesn't want an unsettled North Korea; they don't want their refugees. And they're not quite ready to invade America yet, ha ha.
Here's a sobering thought. What if they nuke Iraq and Afghanistan to try and take out as many U.S. soldiers as possible?

Nobody trusts North Korea, including China. NK is a loose cannon that we need to starve out.
NK has no delivery vehicle capable of targeting the US. The initial test was less than a kiloton, a firecracker of a nuke.

China is siding with the US on this one, did you know? He would like to target the US, but does not have enough power yet, so would target a country closer to him. Already he has declared the sanctions that the UN set "war". Did you know THAT? what does that tell you, Neddie? You realize now that people hate Americans, not just Republicans, right?

What the...?
I'm pretty sure even China is nervous of North Korea. China needs the US and Europe to keep their booming economy growing. Export markets are vital to China.
