Hugo Chavez is an enemy of the Republicans. Thus, Liberals are defending him to antagonize the Republicans.

I don't defend him, but I recognize that he is the duly elected leader of Venezuala. He's won two honest elections - two more than Bush has. Part of the price of democracy is that peopel you or I may not like do get elected.

From what I know about him, he has left private media in private hands - even though those media outlets criticize him. Hardly the tyrant the GOP claims.

Other than that, I've heard both good and bad about him. I've yet to make up my mind, but I'm not going tob rush out and hate him because a bunch of idiots hate him.

The basic premise of a democracy is everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If republicans can't take the criticism find another profession. As an American I am disgusted at the image the Conservatives are presenting to the world that is drawing such criticism. We all inhabit this planet why is it so difficult to live and let live. Conservatives want to be rulers of the world.

Chavez is a blowhard who likes to hear the sound of his own voice. He makes an @ss of himself at the UN and calls Bush the devil. Who cares? For the life of me, I can't understand why anyone bothers wasting their energy hating him. He's relatively harmless and he is duly elected to lead him own country. I don't like or hate him, why would I? He's just another wacky South American head of state trying to get some attention--and apparently succeeding.

Because he speaks a truth you do not want to hear. You just can't stand that Chavez is standing up to your glorious leader. And closed minded, arrogant, hypocritical conservatives make me sick!

he's no longer smart sufficient. Chavez is merely a media factor of pastime and he must be a dictator. the country hasn't fallen for that yet. He has no real administration, and the solid element is that he's in attain of opur missles.

He had the guts to say what many of us have been thinking for years.

If someone tried to have you assassinated, you's spout off some pretty nasty things about them, too. Why should Chavez be any different.

I buy nothing but Citgo gasoline. I refuse to purchase Mid East oil...

As for making you sick, turn off Fox News and start thinking for yourself. You'll feel better for it...

why do conservatives dislike him so much? it seems like they don't know? they say he's a dictator, but he was elected?

he just said some bad stuff about Bush? I guess you can't do that anymore?

they spend 10 more times talking about him than about Osama... THE GUY WHO KILLED 3,000... I guess that's where their priorities are?

It's the old "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" philosophy. You think they'd have learned something about this during the Cold War, but alas...some never do.
