No, we will have troops there for a long time. We (or the current administration) tried to do this with too few troops and with a wishful plan of transition towards a new Iraqi government. Security has been an issue since Saddam was removed from power. We needed more troops not to defeat Saddam but instead to bring stability to their country. Additionally, the rebuilding jobs have not gone to the Iraqis. Instead, foreigners have taken those jobs. Iraqi are just like everyone else. They want a secure place to live and food on the table. Right now they don't feel very good about either.

My how history repeats itself!
Nothing has been learned from the fiasco that Viet Nam was.
I feel it's gotten too far and backing out is not as easy as it might have been had events gone differently.
Bush took a gamble and lost, but somehow he's not ready quite yet to throw in the towel.
Maybe it takes about a trillion more national debt I.O.U.'s before they call it hopeless and have a summit in Paris like they did in 1971 to conclude that Viet Nam mess.
The pressure is on to change policy.
Nobody knows the details of how they plan to bring to a resolution this mess.
My best guess is that the next president will take drastic measures early on to resolve the situation in Iraq.
Maybe it will end while the campaign is still going on, similar to the Iran hostage situation that got Reagan elected.
One thing I can say with certainty....You will see Bush all the time, even when his presidency is over...he is now a political fixture that I wish never happened.

a complicated question, getting a lot of simple / moronic answers.
From the right of the spectrum, only bush & the neo/clowns can save Iraq. From the extreme left, simple no answers.
How about this, after the November elections, when congress will actually investigate and impeach bush, the us will move up its presidential election. The Neo/clowns will loose big due to the bush legacy.
And then the BIG SURPRISE- the democrats actualy start to have Diplomatic (new word for republicans) relations with the rest of the world, and a real coalition is devised, in which there is 400,000 troops from around the world stationed in Iraq, and peace breaks out around the world.
Rush (from jail) L. says it was the neocons achivment.

Not if it's a good president. We need to be there until the Iraqis are ready to stand on their own feet regardless of who's the next USA President.

as much as i am sure that we all would love nothing better, i can not see it happen as the county (Iraq) would implode...now that their is a multi national force involved it would be irresponsible of all nation's to cut and run.... we caused the country to become unstable we all need to fix it.... i am not a supporter of the war, but Iraq's stability needs to improve to at least the level it was at prior to the start of the war before we all get out....

No because Iraq is the center of the war on terror. It's being played out there in the dessert so that we don't have to fight that war here on our soil. I like it that way too. I'm sure if war was to come to the U.S. soil you would wish that it stayed over there.

You don't have to wait for the next President. If you vote in this election and the Democrats take over, action will be taken to end this invasion right now. Democrats support Diplomacy.
Simply insure that your vote will be counted by requesting EMERGENCY PAPER BALLOTS from your Governor's office. That way, you can still vote when those rigged machines break down.

No, for two reasons...
Bush and other presidents are elected ONLY by THIS secret and evil group that's been in control of everything for far too long!...
http://www.rense.com/general58/suspre.htm
Also, it's NOT about a "war on terror" or "fighting for freedoms". It's all about winning THIS secret "prize"!...
