Since 1947, the Physicists at the "Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists" have moved the Doomsday Clock closer to/further from doomsday (i.e. midnight) in relation to the world's state of affairs.

Given that the Physicists didn't consider moving up the clock in 2003 before the Iraq war, but are considering moving up the clock in response to North Korea, do you think (and I know this is a stretch) that a bunch of dorky looking Nobel Laureate Physicists are smarter and wiser than George W. Bush? Just a thought...

I mean all anyone has to do is look around, I mean we are in Afghanistan and Iraq and have been for 5 years now, more and more people are dying everyday there and more and more terrorists are being created. Then we have Iran and North Korea threating to use their nuclear weapons to wipe people of the map. Then there is Israel who just fought Hezbollah in Lebanon and both are one wrong move from an all out war worse then the one over the summer. We then have Syria who wants to attack Israel. Also Venezuela has formed a tight knit alliance with Iran and Venezuela has oil supplies it can cut off to the United States. Then there is Japan and South Korea who are threatening North Korea about their nuclear weapons and may use force. Both India and Pakistan have an uneasy relationship and may eventually use force against each other. Then worst of all Russia and China who are world super powers are close to our enemies and supply hem with weapons and such.

this girl was staying with me, and I loaned her some money, as well as gave her 50.00 from a coworker to pick some stuff up for him, and well...she's stayed with me for nearly 3 weeks, and has eaten my food, used my minutes on my cell phone, borrowed change, ect...and I still haven't seen not only any rent money, but not even the money that she borrowed from me, OR my coworkers 50.00. I've made her leave, and changed the locks, because she took my house key without my permission as well. So, she wants to come back tonight for her stuff. She has no established residency here, she's not on the lease, or receiving mail or anything here, so do I HAVE to give her stuff back to her? I also have a paper signed by her, stating that she owes me money. I'm afraid if I tell her she can't have her stuff, she's gonna bring the police, but if I tell the police she doesn't live here, just staying here for a little while, and show them the paper she signed, will they make me give her stuff back?

Tanks for all the response. I live in Tennessee. I was going mybe 50 mph in a 45 mile zone. I did speed up because I didn't want to get hit. I have no DUI's and as I wa waiting for my friend to catch up with me at a ervice station, he went by on a slow street and looked at me. My friend and I didn't think anything as we were getting off from work. He got in between my fried's car and me and we went down for almost 2 miles before he pulled me over. I had ost my billfld a couple of days before, so h got me for no drivers licence. He also pulled a gun on me after he toldme to reach down in my backpack and pull everything out. He said I was going 53 after he got behind me, but wrot on my ticket I was doing 57 miles. My friend stop and came back and he started hollering at him. He was a young cop and I plan to go tocourt over this. I was just wondering if there way a name for this kind of behavior of following too close. Thank yo all.

I'm on the National Do Not Call Registry, but it doesn't include charities and Non-Profit Organizations. I want to give to my church or whoever I feel like, but I do not want people calling me asking me to donate, is there another do not call registry that applies to charities or organizations asking for donations?

Who knew that eliminating our civil rights would be such a good campaign tactic. "Vote Republican. They will eliminate all of your civil rights by the end of his term!"

How can the Dem's compete with that?

From what I know of this war I can't find a good reason to support it. My question is do you support this war? Please list reasons.
I may not support the war but I can't stand people that put down the soldiers. This question is not about soldiers but about war.

If the answer is "yes", then that proves that race has nothing to do with anti-illegal backlash. If the answer is "no" you are being dishonest.

In the British Mandate of Palestine, with much of the land now known as Israel, the British could have instead created a huge housing project, whereby people could have constructed houses side by side along with the Palestinians. They would have no reason to fight for the land because they would both live in it. Do you think this idea would have prevented the long struggle between these two groups?
