I mean all anyone has to do is look around, I mean we are in Afghanistan and Iraq and have been for 5 years now, more and more people are dying everyday there and more and more terrorists are being created. Then we have Iran and North Korea threating to use their nuclear weapons to wipe people of the map. Then there is Israel who just fought Hezbollah in Lebanon and both are one wrong move from an all out war worse then the one over the summer. We then have Syria who wants to attack Israel. Also Venezuela has formed a tight knit alliance with Iran and Venezuela has oil supplies it can cut off to the United States. Then there is Japan and South Korea who are threatening North Korea about their nuclear weapons and may use force. Both India and Pakistan have an uneasy relationship and may eventually use force against each other. Then worst of all Russia and China who are world super powers are close to our enemies and supply hem with weapons and such.

At any given time in history, there are numerous wars and conflicts going on. Currently there are 40+/- conflicts in the world. The only time the WORLD WAR status is attibuted to a war is when the superpowers square off on opposite sides in open declarations of war. We are far from that scenario, altho i agree the spark is there to ignite a larger conflagaration. But for now, just think regional conflicts, proxy wars, brinksmanship and disagreements between rump states.

When the US, Russia and/or China square, then come back and we'll talk WW III.

Iran doesn't have nuclear weapons and it's doubtful if North Korea has an effective one. In the last fifty years the USA has wiped plenty of people "off the map" as you choose to describe murder but the world has still survived.

The only problem we have is Bush and Cheney. Korea, Iran and
Venezuela wanted to be our friends but Bush can not threaten them
quick enough and brand them "terrorist" for further theft of there
resouces. All our problem could be solved in a few days if our
government wanted them to be. What is happening is planned not
for the take over of Iran or Korea, but for the total dictatorship of the
USA by fascist, tyranical leaders bordering on nazi's. Even our military people are starting to sound like SS when they say kill
americans who disagree with Bush.

Hi there;
While I do agree the world is looking very grim with all these idiots who have their fingers on dangerous triggers, I do not agree with the premise that it will be WW3. WW3 occurred in what was known as the cold war which ended with the demise of the USSR. The scenario that you paint, and do a very fine job of it too I might add, will be a hot war and it will be WW4.

World War III is not on the offing because there are only isolated incident of disputes between states and some adventurous countries wanting to be nuclear superpowers. The international community is still in order.
