who knows, they whine about everything. For example the Canadians complain because we don't want their shitty softwood lumber.

Last I heard, any firing of a weapon by military personnel across ANY border, unless previously cleared with the 'receiving' country's goverment, can be considered an act of war.
And trust me, I am very, very familiar with American weapon safety, and I know it's damned near inexistant. A 7.62X51 round can reach upwards of three kilometers and still maintain enough velocity to be lethat. So, if you could send a thousand of those rounds in a minute nearly two miles away, wouldn't you feel a bit nervous if you were on the receiving end? I certainly would.
And this whole "Canada has a lot of space, let's use it" rethoric is hypocritical at best. Alaska has a lot of unused real estate along its border with us. If we used that space to fire our weapons, we would have Washington breathing down our necks within minutes of the first round hitting US soil. So, if you wouldn't like rounds flying into YOUR homeland from outside, don't you think that we would feel the same? It's not because we are not military and economic powerhouses that we enjoy being bullied around.
Oh, and we sent 20 odd tanks to Afghanistan. We have many, many more Leopards, and while they are medium tanks, not MBT's, they have been undergoing refits and upgrades almost ever since we got them. They might not be able to match an M1A2's armour and firepower, but they are very respectable presences on the battlefield.

Never heard this but if it happened I would think the US would board the border up tighter then a nuns you know what if we shot across your border.
I mean we have done nothing to the US and they are already forcing passports to visit the US for a day. Not to say ill loose any sleep over that but it is showing who the whiny people are .
To the Guy who said we should just take Canada over well all I have to say to that is Kind of like you did in Iraq? I must say that's going well isn't it??
When people like you realize that strong arming the world is not the way to deal with everybody maybe the US will do allot better.. But the answer to everything for people like you, is Military Power.. Well let me point out that one of the greatest military war machines of the second world war were the Germans and we all know what happened to them don't we.. If you start biting off too much eventually you will choke.. Kind of like your doing in Iraq at the moment.. largely due to cocky attitudes such as your own..

Funny thing but quite a few americans are complaining about this too.
And they well should.
Every american commercial fisherman and boater will have the opportunity of being in the line of fire. And for what?

Are you? I thought that was North & South Korea.
See? We don't really give a rats *** about the usual "American" activity. Just proves they're patrolling the WRONG side of the border....
