in a war were we allow terrorists to hide in civilian clothing, IE ignore the Geneva convention, can we be sure who is a civilian and who is not. If you don't want to get shot get out of the way.

Innocent Nazis or innocent German citizens? I believe most people are crying out over the deaths of innocent civilians. There civilian deaths weren't as high in earlier wars because there were staged battlefields, not the case here where fights happen anywhere, anytime. I'm sure people cried for the innocent Europeans killed, but certainly not for the Nazis

I wasn't alive during WW2. However, I cried when I read "The Diary of Anne Frank" and I used to cry whenever there were graphic images of the Holocaust on tv. I CERTAINLY wasn't crying for the Nazis, but for their victims.
The sectarian violence in Iraq is mind-numbing.
Someday, my children will be crying over a tv mini-series of the slaughter of the innocents there.

You probably weren't born during WWII, so come up with something better.
There was a difference. The 600,000 Nazis fought in the war and declared WAR ON US. The 600,000 INNOCENT IRAQI CIVILIANS DID NOT DECLARE WAR ON US AND WE ATTACKED THEM. Get a clue...

600k is a bogus number. Not more than 50k innocents have been killed and most of them have been killed by the terrorists or their own countrymen.
