I'm going to pay it off tomorrow (the ticket is several months old) before I go buy a new car. How long should I wait after I pay it off to go to the dealership so my credit will be ready for a better rate?

Then why do I know loads of (sometimes well qualified) British people working in Pubs, Resturants, McDonalds, as cleaners, Labourers etc, callcentres, because they can't get anything better?

I'm sorry but I'm sick of hearing that we "need" immigrants to do these jobs. My BF has been stuck in a minimum wage pub job for ages and he is desperately trying to get out of it but he is having no luck at all. He is British.

I feel its unfair for immigrants to be taking jobs when there are British people already struggling to find decent paid work. I think those who have this beleif that "all" Brits have well paid jobs and we "turn our noses up" at low paid work are just living in a dreamland and obviously have really good jobs themselves. You should get back to reality and see how some of your fellow countrymen are living.

order of protection. He claims an protection order can be modified to allow the "victimizer" to be with the "victim". Is this true? Don't you have to have the order rescinded first? She allowed him in her house repeatedly knowing she was not supposed to. Long crazy story short they obviously got into another argument and she used her status as a "victim" to get him arrested. Should she not have consequences for her part in breaking the order or were his actions (according to her) enough to override her "crime"? Is it worth it for him to even bring this up or is it to petty to mention?

My boyfriend has been living here for 5 years and he came from Trinidad with his mom. He claims he recieved a notice saying that he was clear and his green card would come "soon."? The year is almost over and nothing has happened yet. He tunred 18 in march and was recently kicked out of High School. He only had 1 year left. His mom, which is overprotective, keeps all his info (passport, EVERYTHING) locked up and is only home about 1 week in a month because of her job. I want to know, what are his options? Can he work? Can he finish school? Can he go to college? Right now all he does is just sit around the house. Is there really no choice?
