Agreed. Now, let's have government policies (and public education reforms) which empower parents.
Currently, children are being propogandized by tv and public education that their parents are boobs...

Better yet, why did they have the kids they KNEW they couldn't afford to raise????
I suppose the best answer would be ignorance.
Most of those parents believe the Government is an individual of some sort, not "the people" of this Country. Don't they understand that when they 'take' from the Government they take from ALL of us???

Very true. Also, as a former middle school teacher I can say that parents expect our public schools to educate our children. The fact of the matter is, parent should take a more active interest in their childs development.

I agree with you 100 % I think that it is that both parents are chasing that all mighty dollar and not looking at the important things in life.....like a good home environment for the children...

To what are you referring?
The FDA (supposedly) assuring the quality of our food and medications?
The Consumer Product Safety Commission's regulation of hazards in toys and baby products?
I watch my kid very closely, thanks, but I'm not a chemist, nor am I an engineer or electrician, so I believe in the necessity of these governmental protections.

Totally agree. Asa teacher I will educate their kids but the parents need to get involved. It is easy to identify kids with BPD (Bad Parenting Disease)

you r right............but American policies like this that America made their citizen to think about that it is Gove's duty to raise our kids and many parents give birth of kids bcz they need money and they don't want to do any work and just get many from Gove under the name of kids and they r enjoying their life............
