his bond is 100,000$. With a bondsmen that will be 10,000$ CASH. Is it normal to have a bond this high for these charges?

He has not seen the judge yet. He turned himself in last night to the Police department. They gave him the 100,000$ bond. Monday A.M. he goes to court. Hopefully the Judge will lower it. Yes, he does have a prior record.

A judge can make a bond as high or as low as they want depending on the history of the accused....

Generally the police have what is known as a general "Bond Schedule" issued to them by the court. This schedule sets the dollar amount of bond by the offense. The police have nothing to do with the dollar amount.

Once he appears in court the amount ill be adjusted according to the circumstances. If he is not considered a flight risk he may be release without bond.

yes in some places they can look like bad charges but good point is he handed is self so its possible for judge to consider wether hes a risk or not as in britian they dont pay bonds but can if its good cause injury too persons

Nice friend you got there. That is kinda of a high bond though probably because of his prior criminal history.
