Bush says if we "cut and run" in Iraq, the terrorists would terrorize the Americans instilling even more fear into them. What do you believe?

Since the Bush regime is one of instilling fear in Americans to make them do what he wants and get laws passed to take away our rights, terrorists are going to come to America whether we're there or not.

Republicans argue that "cut and run" is the Democrat's motto, when in fact Senator Warner of Virginia who came back from Iraq last week says that nothing is being done for the good over there and that we need to have a phased withdrawl plan starting within the next few months.

If Britain is pulling out and others already have, why does Bush think we need to "stay the course"? It doesn't make sense.
His argument is that terrorism will come over here and that Iraq will be the playground for terrorists to organize. Well guess what? They're already terrorizing and organizing over there and we aren't doing anything about it.

So in my opinion the "cut and run" argument is just something Bush uses because he can't think of a logical explanation to stay in a country we successfully occupied, but failed miserably at democratizing.

Pulling out will not solve anything. Just because we "leave within a year", as many advocate, people in Iraq and the Middle East will not suddenly start dancing in the streets and loving Americans. Pulling out will solve nothing; however, we definitely need to reevaluate how we're currently fighting this war. A change of tactics may be the thing, rather than throwing troops at the problem like fuel to a fire.

For those of you who think we've /really/ ****ed up in Iraq, I don't see how you can possibly see that as a reason for /leaving/. Okay, so you think Bush is the reason we've done such a bad job. That has nothing to do with anything. It doesn't matter /who/ or /what/ the reason is; the fact is that we need to /fix what we started/.

The way I see it is that this war began to "provide for a better life" for the Iraqi people who were living under a dictatorship. The Coalition is responsibile for the mess and chaos that has ensued out there since 2003 (each day brings reports of suicide bombings), and until Iraq is stabilised, it shouldnt even be considered an option to withdraw. You cant cut and run from your own responsibility.

If we pull out of Iraq, that entire area will become a hotbed of extremist activity geared at attacking the US and its people.

There are just so many of them. If we keep them busy there, they will do less damage here. It is called damage control.
They are dedicated to their cause. They will always attack us to the best of their ability. I fwe appease them, they will only regroup and hit us harder next times.
There are already a lot of them here now , but they are busy supporting their cause by attacking our military and Bush.
