What real impact would it have on the “global war on terror”? Would the terrorist cells in Europe or Malaysia, or the many other locations around the globe be impacted?

Jack Straw aired his point of view about muslim women and veils! Are you a racist, bigot if you agree with him?

I want to say in a open forum that I agree with him and understand the context, but I fear that saying this openly I will be called a racist.

Have the days of reasoned debate, without fear or predjudice gone forever? Who decides that one point of view is right and the other is wrong?

Does anyone else believes that this inability to express a point a view gives more power to those idiots in the British National Party

I'm not talking about people in these forums, but Americans from L.A. to N.Y. I haven't seen the latest gallup polls, but I think I heard somewhere that most Americans care more about the never ending war in Iraq, or gov't corruption, or that Republican little boy sex scandal, than they do immigration. Can someone answer my question, with proven facts?

b. each political party appeals to a different social class

c. there is no significant difference between the Democratic and Republican parties

d. only a 2 party system cna function in a democracy

Re: The George Walker Bush Monument

I have the distinguished honor of being on the committee to raise
$5,000,000 for a monument of George Walker Bush.

We originally wanted to put him on Mt. Rushmore until we discovered there was not enough room for two more faces.

We then decided to erect a statue of George in the Washington, D. C. Hall Of Fame. We were in a quandary as to where the statue should be placed. It was not proper to place it beside the statue of George Washington, who never told a lie, or beside Richard Nixon, who never told the truth, since George W. Could never tell the difference.

We finally decided to place it beside Christopher Columbus, the greatest Republican of them all. He left not knowing where he was going, and when he got there he did not know where he was. He returned not knowing where he had been, and did it all on someone else's money.

Thank you,
George Walker Bush Monument Committee
P. S. The Committee has raised $1.35 so far

I'm in the process of paying off my lawyer to begin delcaring bankruptcy. I have one judgement against me and I was at the time sending them money to pay on. That way they couldn't garnish my wages. I haven't been able to afford to send them money in the past two months since I'm declaring bankruptcy. Do they have to take me to court again in order for them to start garnishing my wages? I wasn't able to attend the court date to to work and don't know what happened exactly. If they start garnishing my wages I will end up homeless because things are tight right now as it is. I live on my own so I don't get any help from anyone. I would like to send them a letter to state I'm declaring bankruptcy but I won't have the lawyer paid off till Nov and casefiled till Dec and that may actually get them to jump on the chance to garnish my wages and get what they can from me. Any advice???

For ex...Have a secure web site, whereby congress could post the major bills or laws they have agreed on....

Then the constituents could vote on it using their account ID....only once..

Seems like it would give voters back some power.

Wouldn't this eliminate lobbying or at least reform it.
