how would you react? Would you be happy that somone in the middle became President or would you throw a fit because your Liberal or Conservative ideas would not be met?

I would be very extremely happy if it could happen. I am very tired of the 2 party, 2 ideaology system. We have needed a change for way too long. Unfortuantely, the way the political system is now and the way campaign laws have been written, it will take the American public to change this.

i think the country as a whole is best served by a moderate president. The only real question is how much will the congress allow him/her to accomplish? Will they fight him tooth and nail or play nice?

I'm a moderate independent (lean to the left), so I would be happy (also depends on the particular candidate, of course).

It will be very nice but I seriously doubt an independent can win,Let us see if Joe Lieberman wins or not for a Litmus Test

I would be just fine with it. I vote for the person I think that can do the job best rather they be cons dems indis. I think it should be about who is going to do the best for the people not kiss the butt of their contributors.
