This is a very difficult question to ask. A week ago my dad had a stroke and now my mom is taking off work to take care of him. She has signed him up for disability, food stamps, etc. The only problem is the time she is taking off work and having no other income flowing through the house. She was told she could "maybe" get unemployment, but found out today that she can't. Are there any other government programs to help her and the rest of my family with the income?

My sister got tired of her husband and dumped him for another one- better looking and all. Then she took him to court for child support and he fell behind after a couple of years and she ordered him to jail! Now hes in jail but my sister isnt getting any child support still!! So how long wil he be in jail until she can finally start seeing some child support money coming in? I heard they posted bail on him for $7,000. Does that mean she's going to get $7,000. soon? Hes been in jail 2 months- by now should'nt the money be in?

The cities with the highest immigration rates also have the lowest unemployment rates and the strongest tax-bases.

The cities in the worst financial conditions in the nation (Detroit, St. Louis, Buffalo, etc.) have virtually no immigrants.

I am going to submit my latest civilian education. I have 180 pts credited for education already. I have a 271 PFT Score. I have a Sharpshooter score of 210. I have all the MCIs done for Cpl. It ticks me off everytime I see someone say people who oppose illegal immigration are racist, evil, violent, anti-immigration.

Sure, we differ on how to actually SOLVE the problem..but first we all need to agree it's a problem.

And yes, i-l-l-e-g-a-l immigration (the term itself implying an illegal act) is wrong.

Im serious. Lets just take Canada. They have a leaf for Gods sake on their Flag. They love maple syrup and they try to be Americans. They have no navy except a few little boats .

How long would it take for The USA to completely take over Canada.

As a Republican I believe in conservation. It would be more lucrative and beneficial to make Canada one of our largest states.

Its not like we are afraid of them. They have no power. We can send 100 American Marines and own canada in a few hours.

not breaking any laws by entering the USA illegally then how come the illegal supporters dont drive cross into Mexico and pack a few illegals in the cars or the trunks and drive back to the USA or even become guides to the and help the illegals enter the USA.

Is it because you the illegal supporter know its against the law and that you will end up behind bars or is its just easier to say you are a supporter as long as you dont really have to do anything..............

(Remember that if you think that if the illegals are not breaking any laws by entering illegally then helping them will be that same as you not breaking any laws either.....)

I would like to think all this hatred, slander, viciousness, etc. would end with the next election but I doubt that it will.

What has happened to us? Why do we hate each other, why are politicians and 'we the people' so mean spirited. Why do we elate in the misfortune and sins of others? Why are we so self-righteous that we are blinded to others opinions? Why do we and politicians bellow with such disrespect. Why do we think we are so perfect?

Can't we just civilally agree to disagree and still be respectful?

This hatred is not making anyone or our country more peaceful. Reading the Q&A's on politics leaves one filled with anxiety and disqust.

Please people let the hatred go. It's no good for you or anyone else.

The obvious way to stop illegal immigration is not to build a wall (which will cost billions and merely divert the flow), but to go after businesses with strong enforcement and major fines.

Yet no one is doing this. In fact, they've cut the number of people inspecting businesses.

So the question is, are politicians...

1. Trying to enrich their friends in corporations that get the contracts to build these places?

2. Trying to keep a flow of cheap labor to their corporate buddies while still attracting the anti-immigrant vote?

3. Both 1 & 2.
