My sister got tired of her husband and dumped him for another one- better looking and all. Then she took him to court for child support and he fell behind after a couple of years and she ordered him to jail! Now hes in jail but my sister isnt getting any child support still!! So how long wil he be in jail until she can finally start seeing some child support money coming in? I heard they posted bail on him for $7,000. Does that mean she's going to get $7,000. soon? Hes been in jail 2 months- by now should'nt the money be in?

YES! She will be able to have him kept in jail for as long as it takes his family or friends to come up with the money he owes her!!! ive seen online storys about men in jail for 4+ years owing child support and they wont ever get out until the entire amount is paid!! So in other words, if he doesnt pay at the court date then he'll be in jail for probably a year or more and your sister won't
get anything but welfare. Welfare doesnt pay too much, maybe $50./month...And what ifhe has no one to come up with money? He better like it in there because its where hes gonna stay.

sorry honey,but here in louisiana, if you are lock up for non-payment of c.s. and i say IF our state sucks when it comes to picking them up, the only c.s. you will get is if they allow him to work while in jail on a program called the work release program. other wise the state doesn't pay for him nor do they catch up for him,if they did that would relieve himof what he owes you and would then owe the sate.cOME ON NOW WE CAN'T GET THE STATE TO HELP OUT NOW AS IT IS . one reason they won't pick up deadbeats down here is because it costs too much to house them any way we pay taxes for that. and over here you cannot bail out .you have to stay and serve your time IF you are picked up. my 10 yr olds dad lives 5 blocks away from us and he owes almost 4,000 in back c.s. also has an outstanding warrant for 2yrs now the sheriff does nothing and the state doesn't want to deal with it,,it isn't their problem.

honey bail money doesn't go to child support it goes into the system
your sister sounds like a biotch if she left him for another man then had him thrown in jail

she dumped him she wanted $$ she had him thrown in jail and is now mad she isn't getting any $$

I am at 16 years of receiving no childsupport because none was wanted.
the support laws are unfair and easily abused
What will the kiddies think of mommy in 5-10 years when they realize SHE had him locked up.
good luck-better to love the kids and take care of them on your own the best you can. if he cant afford to pay or is simply uninterested-you chose to have them and YOU left him. live with it

If he's in jail, he can't get-a-job, and your Ho-a@@-sister can't get child support! See how that works, dead beats? Probably ain't his kid anyway, b*itches!

does your sister get welfare if she does she wont get a dime if she doesnt then she will get the money when he goes to cout or when he gets a job
