I am doing a presentation for my Legal Issues class. The topic is Wrongful Termination and the discipline procedure. And one of the topics I have to present is "Impact on Management, necessary changes in procedures and/or recommended policies concerning issue.

Disciplinary policies apply to all employees regardless of title. Managers are employees. What you mean by "wrongful" termination is not explained in your question.

A great deal, I hope. There are some managers who do not know labor laws. Other reasons why employees may be wrongfully terminated or disciplined unfairl are 1. Failure of the manager to follow the process and rules of the disciplinary process and 2. Failure to prove the justification for the action.

From the upper management point of view, this particular manager becomes an embarassment for the company. This teaches managers to be more careful next time.

what is wrongful termination?
in at will states you are pretty much free to go and be terminated at will
the only thing they can do that can be viewed as wrong under law is if you the employee are under a protected class. where people get this sense that they have a job for life is beyond me
