The cities with the highest immigration rates also have the lowest unemployment rates and the strongest tax-bases.

The cities in the worst financial conditions in the nation (Detroit, St. Louis, Buffalo, etc.) have virtually no immigrants.

Interesting, isn't it.

Interesting stuff. Actually if you read into it some the data also talks about how a city with too many immigrants can cause a financial burden initially and threaten jobs in the lower income bracket. I just don't see how some of them manage in cities like San Francisco where a 2 bedroom fixer upper can cost you over $700k easily.

As far as the cities that did not fair well It might have more to do with current economic conditions in this country more than anything. Take Detroit for example, a city known for automobile production, thats something the US is losing many jobs overseas to. Didn't they just have another massive layoff a few months ago?

I think even the legal residents are leaving those cities. Immigrants may be going to more prosperous cities because that is where the work opportunities are. Those cities are not near agricultural centers and construction hasn't been booming in those cities as it has in southern and southwestern cities.

A large number of legal immigrants have higher educations and seek out prosperous cities to live in. They probably do contribute to the performance of those cities, but the report also said immigrants are not necessarily the 'reason' those cities are prosperous. Also, in the first paragraph you will read, " but "in areas with high concentrations of low-skilled, low-paid immigrants," they impose net costs on U.S.-born workers. "

This is speaking of 'immigrants". So, don't confuse it with "ILLEGAL immigrants". No one disputes immigrants are welcome in the USA. They are what helps make the USA prosperous as do native born citizens. ILLEGAL immigrants are not helping our country, however.

Finally a decent argument base from a traitor. Nice going! Will that profit attend the cost of illegals in those areas? Nice try Amigo. My God man, can you really trust those findings when they are contrary to all other studies? Don't be so naive, and don't expect us to be either. But really those are the Q's we like to check out. Most immigrants bust @$$ until they realize they don't have too. They took the easy ride by invading our border, as they will take the easy train invading our benefits.

This is largely because Americans have become lazy and passive. In the inner cities you refer to the residents have become dependent on government for solutions to their problems. The mindset of poverty has spread like a famine.

There are so many immigrants who die to come here, many illegally. Yet everyday Americans complain about their standard of living, when poverty here is upper middle class in most countries. Very sad.

Are you talking "immigrant" or "illegal immigrant." There is a HUGE difference between the two, you know.

The illegal ones are just working hard so they can go back later and not have to work.

The legal ones are extremely glad to be here and want to show us they can be great citizens.
