Lately, I have heard liberals state that Congressman Foley making excuses for his behavior doesn't cut it and that he needs to take some personal responsibility. I couldn't agree more, but I have one problem.
In the 90's, during the Clinton years the liberal culture rejected personal responsibility. If a gang member murdered someone we always heard that we should go easy on them because they had a rough childhood. Every time any two bit criminal got injured in a shootout with a Cop, liberals blamed the police. Liberal judges started to determine that if a burglar injured himself while breaking into a house they could sue the homeowner. Even Clinton blamed Ken Star for his problems.
Don't get me wrong, I feel that we need to throw the book at ANY child predators, whether Democrat, Republican or independent. I'm also pleased to hear that liberals are embracing personal responsibility, I just hope that they continue to do so even when it doesn't involve a republican congressman

A good friend of mine married this Russian chick. She got a temporary 2 years G.Card, then she bailed out. Before her 2 years G.Card to expire, she asked him to help her to proof that she married him in good faith ,so she would get her permanent G.Card. I told him not help her because she played him and he should report her to the INS or i will. Finally he did ,but he was hesitant , at the beginning because he still did love her.
What would be her legal situation with the INS, now that he have reported her ?
Does anyone know ? Have you known a similar case ?

For example say drugs or a gun. If so what proximity does the item or substance have to be in relation to the person, in order for that person to be arrested.

Suppose you are walking down the street minding your own business, and out of nowhere a cop shows up and asks you to "get up against the wall..." to arrest you. Charging you with possesion of a substance which was found a few feet away from where you was walking.

How can a person protect themselves against that?

Hello...

I am curious as to whether it is legal for a member of staff under a supervisor to earn more than the supervisor that supervises them!?

Does anyone know if this is a situation that often exists and more importantly if such a situation is legal or illegal?

Any comments would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
Jamie.

I am specifically talking about the amendments which protect individual from searches and seizures without warrants and what not. Or another way: What methods do law enforcement officers use to get around those amendments which at times impede their work. For instance: Suppose an officer pulls over a car on the road in the middle of nowhere, he suspects that something is not quite right. The officer, on a hunch, knowing that he's not suppose to without consent searches the vehicle while the driver opposess it saying that he doesn't give the cop permission to search the car. Lo And Behold the officer finds drug, after arresting the individual, the cop states in his report that the person did give consent, all the while the driver denies it. Who wins in court? Is it a matter of the cops word vs. the defendant? Thanks
