Pushups: 27 in 1 minute
1.5 Mile: 11:20
Pullups: 2-3

My recruiter said most show up to training with around a 40 pushup max. If that's true, I'm WAY behind. But can that really be true?

i would work on your endurance a bit to be honest......the mile is pretty poor IMO.that's almost in the girls range of timings.

basically tho if you are not having a major heart attack after doing these then you should be OK.........but trust me they WILL have to doing a lot better than that by the end of basic.

The do have a competition during basic where the ones that get the best male / female times get a special ribbon which is nice but my son who is super fit did not get it, but passed basic with ease............

Enjoy warrior week :]

Honestly, you're pretty up to par. If you're a male you have to be able to do 45 Sit-up's in under 2 minutes, and 30 Pushup's in under 2 minutes. And a 2 mile run I believe in under 19 or 21 Minutes. Pushup wise you're fine, you don't have situp stats so I don't know how you're doing there. Running wise, you are doing fine. You do not have to do pull-up's in all branches, only some. Marines do, i'm pretty positive. Don't know much more, but hope that helps!

Eek! Quick edit..

I was listing the requirements for Situps & Pushup's for the AF requirements. You should post in what branch you're talking about :)

i think you should work out more to improve your physical fitness. i was in the military long time ago and we had higher standards then and toay i think the standards haven't changed that much. i believe there are bronze, silver and gold standards which the military grade you on and depends on your age too. so if you are a recruit, i believe you should be either in your late teens or early 20s. you will probably be looking at gold standards which are the toughest. example, the 1.5mile run should be in the 9 minutes range, pull-ups should be at least 6 or more. it's been a while so i forget. check online on their websites and see what the standards are.

Those stats look good. I wouldn't worry about "maxing" it, you will get enough excercise in BT to bring your scores up.

Since when does the USAF require pull-ups?

in bootcamp they will get in your shape to do 100 push ups/situps and run 1.5 (2) miles in under 12-13 minutes. for a 1.5 miles your time is good.
